The first time we ordered from here, I didn’t realize they don’t spread the tomato sauce around the dough like a typical pizza. Instead, they add dollops of tomato sauce around the top, the “Otto way.” I found I don’t like the Otto way so I order mine the traditional way. Anyway, I really like the pizza here. The crust is delicious. You can tell it’s an authentic, simple recipe and it bakes beautifully. Toppings-wise, I’m a big fan of the hot honey cup pepperoni or plain cheese, but they offer a bunch of stuff. They have vegan cheese for the dairy free people, which is great. As far as other things on the menu, we’ve ordered the salads before and they’re average, so we really just stick to the pizza. Overall, a very decent take out pizza option for downtown Exeter 4/4.5 stars..

We’ve ordered take out from here many times, but this was our first time eating in. The pizza was even better than it normally is when we order takeout! The server was nice and the service was good, but slow. They have a few tables outside, which on a nice day / night, is lovely. And the restaurant has two different entrances / areas with plenty of room. The main area has a bar. The parking is hit or miss. It’s street parking and it can get busy at peak times. 3.5/4 stars for dine in

Excuse the crappy pictures I kept forgetting to take some ‍♀️

A friend recommended this place for our vacation and I’m so glad he did! Service was excellent and the atmosphere was welcoming. The pizza was literally the best I’ve ever had (sausage and Vidalia onion) and my husband couldn’t stop raving about how delicious the meatball sub was! Perfect amount of sauce, cheese, and the meatballs were simple yet extremely authentic!

You won’t be sorry if you give this place a try!

Stopped by Otto on an unseasonably warm day in October. Sat outside and had myself a little solo girl date. Perfect atmosphere for really good wine and incredible pizza. The butternut squash, cranberry, ricotta pizza was everything you want it to be and more. Staff is lovely. I want to move here just to be friends with Jonah. Definitely stop here if you have the chance.

Really good pizza! The meat lovers was amazing. We also got the pepperoni, hot honey and goat cheese, plus the chicken, caramelized pears and fontina cheese. Crust was not too thick and flavorful. Overall, we would definitely come again.

Pizza was better than expected, but very expensive. If you want a good pizza in New Hampshire, OTTO is about the best you will find. The crust is very crusty and they put pepper on it. Instead of it being light and airy, it was very chewy and dense. The sauce and cheese had great flavor. If they modify their dough recipe, they’d get that extra star.

The pizza was very very good. Friendly waitress but forgot our aps and we had to ask. She did comp one so it was all good. I had a meatball sandwich here recently as well and I was happy it was good. I love a meatball sub and sadly no one in the seacoast area knows how to make a meatball and they’re terrible so I make my own when I need a fix. They’re not my meatballs but better at Otto then any other place in area. Cute inside. Excellent cookies for sale too.

I’ll start by saying the food was fine and our waitress was fine. My issue was the customer service. The weather was sunny and snow was melting and the roads, sidewalk, and floor were wet. I had a shopping bag from a local business and didn’t want it on the floor so I figured setting it in a chair would be a rational move. We were seated at a hightop table with two chairs, so I grabbed one from the bar (within reach of my table) and set the bag there. The bartender chastised me and said I couldn’t do that. She had to have that seat at the bar, not 12 inches away at my table. There was NO ONE seated at any of the 7-8 seats at the bar, and for the entire time we were there, no one was seated in any of the seats at the bar. She offered to keep my bag up by the hostess stand, but really? It wouldn’t have caused any problems for them to let it slide, it just expressed to me they have zero ability to recognize customer service. Not unusual nowadays, but still disappointing. I prefer to keep track of my stuff, and this was such a small “ask” from a customer, it’s astounding they couldn’t accommodate me.
I’m not from the area, so it’s probably no loss to them, but I won’t be returning there.

Out of town and needed something to eat. Exeter was closing in front of our eyes. Otto to the rescue. Ordered a small pizza for 2 and was just the right size. My better half didn’t like the zucchini but it went well for me. What was missing was a bit of heat …… ah well next time

Finally got to try the pizza here. There’s a new top dog in town. Although the pizza/$ ratio is way lower, the quality is ridiculous. Crust is nice and crispy and ingredients are great. Service was good. The mega croutons on the salad had crispy Parmesan toasted on them. I inhaled red pepper flakes on my first bite and my eyes watered for a good three minutes but after I survived that I very much enjoyed my pizza. Plan on eating here again soon

Waitress was rude and told us to look up on phone the beer menu. She practically yelled at us. It’s too bad because I love the pizza. She was an older lady, maybe she was having a bad day!.
