I have not noticed racial tensions there. (Any more than you might find anywhere in the StL)….There is a woman that frequents the bar who has color and appears to be well regarded. It IS a North side divey joint. They don’t serve any food now outside of bar room pizza…But drink and beer prices are good and if you stay away from controversial conversation you’ll get along with everyone in there. Which is probably true for let’s say 75% of the corner bars in St. Louis.

This is almost a land mark❣️ Well it is to us locals! This would be the spot to always find a challenging game of pool. Retired greats hide in this establishment. Never knowing unless they let you in on their secret. Family owned , small business, local and always has a pretty girl or handsome man behind the bar. It is a requirement to dazzle with a smile and fresh look when you are serving drinks at this place! $5 Pizzas, chips, great drink prices and clean atmosphere! Jukebox is usually playing a classic and pool balls cracking. Regulars laughing plenty of at the bar seating!

Literal hole-in-the-wall. No food served. Clientele take issue with patrons of color. The bartenders are all very nice and the drinks are reasonable. Ask for the Wicked Kool-aid, you won’t be disappointed.

Stopped in for some dinner and a beer but left instead. There was no beer on tap and it was pretty smokey otherwise it seemed like a nice friendly little bar.
