Came here with my wife for dinner on a Wednesday just in time to partake in the end of happy hour for about an hour. It was not too busy, and were seated without waiting. We ordered drinks (draft beer and sake) and appetizers (Calamari, Salmon Kama, and Cucumber Salad). The Salmon Kama took a while to get, but the other appetizers came quick and were good. The Calamari was a little overcooked, making it chewy. For the main dishes, we ordered rolls (Balboa, Picasso, Scallp Dynamite, and Murica) and nigiri (Salmon, Yellowtail Belly, Albacore, and Unagi). We wanted to get sea urchin nigiri as well, but they were out. The rice-to-fish ratio was just right, although the unagi was on the smaller side for nigiri. The Murica roll is not a typical roll and we just wanted to try it. It was not bad, but not good either; definitely not one to reorder for our preference. Overall the food barely made a five star. The service was great. Our waitress was attentive and knew the menu. The atmosphere was energetic and not too loud, but nothing really stood out. There is indoor and patio seating. It is definitely place we would come back to, especially when in the Clairemont area. We look forward to trying the other rolls and dishes.

My favorite roll is the chuck roll! This sushi place is really delicious, will be back. I also had the shrimp tempura roll, it was good, but the chuck was the best!

I love sushi. A friend introduced me to Otto sushi. Nice neighborhood feel. Good and attentive staff. Food was extremely good. They have all the stuff that you see elsewhere, but their sauces were much better than most. The portions were good sized and the cost wasn’t bad. All in all, we had a good time, good food and “I’ll be back”…

For my first time here I loved it, the servers were friendly. I had the veggie roll and my friend had the spider roll. The edamame was delicious and the atmosphere was easy going and relaxing.

The sushi is hit or miss. Some days it’s just OK and others it’s second to none, fresh and fantastic. Prices have come up over the years, but this is one of the best fast-sushi options in Clairemont. They regularly have Uni, and other fatty belly cuts of salmon and yellowtail which other restaurants don’t have.

Happy hour Prices are fantastic!! especially for: Salmon Kame… It was perfectly prepared (it should usually take about 20 minutes if it is done right, and it did take that long… Worth the wait)

My date picked up some sushi to-go from his favorite place and this is now MY favorite place too!!! We had the Bruce Lee, Caterpillar, and Chuck (my fav). All were delicious and so fresh. And only $40 for 3 amazing rolls. I’m definitely coming back to dine in.

Average quality but pay close attention to what they bring you vs what you ordered. Today seemed like they subbed cheaper fish than what we were supposed to have. Also ordered a roll with yellowtail and the fish was as dark as tuna. When we asked they assured us it’s yellowtail but I’ve literally never seen yellowtail that looks that color. I know there are at times a darker portion so maybe they just cut the fish completely wrong. Overall staff is friendly but the quality and accuracy just aren’t there.
