What a magnificent evening we had at Otis Restaurant. With a delicious 5-course tasting menu, each dish was a masterpiece. All the dishes were amazing but words cannot describe the impeccably cooked salmon.

A hidden gem of Exeter! Never thought I’d find a tasting menu here and yet, Otis blew me away. The tasting menu changes weekly, and you get two options for each of the five courses. Each course was incredibly plated and beyond delicious! I tried things I wasn’t sure I’d like, but ended up loving them. My favorites were the trout on pumpernickel and the sweet potato pasta. The steak was also incredible, cooked to perfection and oh so juicy. It was a blast sitting up at the bar, seeing things being prepared in front of you. The pacing of the courses was perfect, we had enough time to savor each one and chat between them for a nice long date night. I loved the entire experience, and the price was so worth it. I can’t wait to come back to something totally new!

So far this is my favorite restaurant in New Hampshire. It is perfect for a date or a special occasion. You need to do reservations as the spaces are limited. I decided to put pictures because words will not be enough. Just visit this place!

An delicious and amazing meal! We sat at the chef’s table and ordered the tasting menu. I feel that the pictures speak for you themselves; parsnip soup, beet and feta salad, seared scallops, and more!

I booked the chef bar experience and looked forward to watching the chefs make there magic. When I arrived a bit early I was seated at the bar. A man came from the kitchen wearing the filthiest tee shirt, he proceeded to put on a cleaner company shirt over the dirty tee then put on a very dirty apron over all. While cooking, he and the other chef tasted the food as it was being prepared which is normal and expected, however, the utensil they used was tossed into a cup with liquid for a brief minute with other used utensils and then removed and used again. I just couldn’t get past all that. I mean I was invited to watch, wouldn’t-shouldn’t they take more effort in a cleanly appearance? I really wanted to love this place and experience.

Really great deal for a 5-course yummy dinner. Portions were just the right size, 2 options to choose from for each of the courses but all were well-prepared and delicious. One of the desserts, a sticky pudding with bourbon, was fantastic and a bit intoxicating! Good service but not a lot of tables so be sure to make a reservation.

We went for a birthday celebration and thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife and I chose the opposite selection for the first four courses, until dessert we both went for Sticky Toffee Pudding. Yum! The flavor profiles of the first four courses were awesome and nothing I’ve had before. We’ll probably be back soon.

Chose for our anniversary dinner because it was close to our accommodations but now that we’ve had a meal there we’d drive quite a distance to eat there again. Five course tasting menu – nice choices and most were Gluten Free! Casual, happy, yet classy place. Two seatings 5:30 and 7:30 – this is a small place so reservations are a must.

Beautiful historical building with fantastic windows. Unique, comfortable and artful atmosphere modern and shiny! Welcoming, gracious, attentive staff. Cool vibe, yet inclusive. Open kitchen and great ventilation so you don’t leave smelling like the food–but if you did, it would be amazing smells as the food is absolutely outstanding. I went with friends/coworkers and we split 3 entrees as apps and then had dinner. Every.single.plate. was SO beautiful and delicious! I loved the thoughtfully crafted salads and entrees — this is what others aspire to. Stop reading this and just go see for yourself. I can’t wait to go again.
