We recently moved to the area from London and we were sorely missing our local wine bars. Otherside was absolutely incredible and felt very much like something we would have gone to before. The wine is beautiful, staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and the food was delicious! We will be back. Highly recommend to anyone who loves natural wine- there are some local and further afield treasures here.

Found my new favorite place tonight!! From the moment I walked in I knew I would love dinner tonight. The vibe is so cozy with warm wood tones and subtle lighting making you feel like you are dining at a dear friend’s place in New England. Kathy, our superb waitress was great in describing the dishes and helping us choose. We dived into the wine flight which helped create our own pairing menu. Started with Caesar salad and then slow roasted carrots on top of ricotta – truly an outstanding dish. The squid ink pasta was delicious and the scallop special melted in my mouth. We didn’t have room for dessert and will definitely be back soon for another meal which will include dessert. Excited to have such an excellent offering close to home.

Always have such a great time at Otherside. I’ve been here a few times & my favorite is the chicken sandwich. Our server, Ryan, was super attentive. He recommended some greats wines & I ended up going with the orange wine, which was wonderful. Can’t wait to come back!

Me and my better half were so excited about this spot opening and we weren’t disappointed. Awesome low intervention wines by the glass that you can’t find anywhere on the island by the glass. Wine nerds will be flocking here.
A mark of a great chef is shown by how they treat their veggies. If that’s the case then this chef is dynamite. Awesome eating throughout the night.
Despite opening a week ago service was smooth and incredibly timely, attentive and kind. Super impressive performance.

The Other Side Wine Bar was warm and welcoming upon entering the door. The atmosphere is inviting, and the staff is both knowledgeable and friendly. The aesthetic is modern and rustic. They always keep the menu interesting by providing unique main stays and specials each evening. The food is consistently excellent, as is the service. The manager Ryan provides excellent service consistently and is always warm and welcoming to guests. One of the things that stands out is the authenticity of the food that is created with care and professionalism. Furthermore, the variety of the drink selection Is noteworthy as well. Since moving to Glen Cove, this has been my go-to spot and highly recommend it without reservation.

I am from a city in the Pacific Northwest with an extraordinary farm to table culinary scene and a fantastic local wine industry. Honestly, I have not been terribly thrilled with the offerings on LI and particularly in Nassau County (sorry if this offends anyone). This was my first visit to this place and, well…wow. I got there at opening, thus it was very quiet. I sat at the bar and was warmly greeted; wonderful conversation with the bartender, who hails from Gramercy Tavern and was quite knowledgeable about the food and beverage offerings. I had the burger and a wonderful glass of a suggested red wine. The burger was perfectly cooked and the fries were crispy and delicious. A second server checked in on me periodically and she was lovely. The ingredients are of high quality, local, organic and sustainable where possible, and the prepared food very flavorful. This was a delightful combination of true hospitality, a warm and comfortable ambiance, thoughtfully prepared food, and very good wine. I highly recommend it.

My friend and I were grabbing coffee at Southtown Coffee, which is conveniently connected to this restaurant.
The artistic and thoughtfully designed interior immediately caught my eye! Unfortunately, we had just finished lunch in town and didn’t have room to try their food, but I’ve already marked this spot for a future visit. I can’t wait to explore their menu.
I also have to mention how stunning the ambiance is. From the beautiful lighting to the sleek wine shelves and stylish tables, every detail of the design makes this restaurant stand out. It truly has a unique charm!

We’ve been to Otherside for dinner and wine several times since they first opened, but this review is for our wedding dinner which we had in December 2025 just a few days before Christmas. I cannot say enough good things about the entire experience.
First, this is an amazing addition to the community. I’ve been longing for a real wine bar for such a long time! So when we decided to nix our plans for a big wedding nearby and do a micro-wedding, I immediately thought of their lovely, atmospheric, beautiful space. Ryan the manager was instantly responsive and flexible with scheduling a date for us.
Ryan also kindly allowed us to take our version of “first look” photos before the bar opened, which he totally did not have to do but truly made our day special. Everyone was so kind and accommodating.
We had the back room with a long table for our private wedding dinner with our families, 11 people. The package for drinks and food was extremely flexible, with many different options, and they easily accommodated both a gluten free item and a child’s meal to their meal package. The food was all extremely delicious. That is actually an understatement, but words fail! Multiple of our out of state family members were complimenting it the entire meal, even the very hard to impress!
The staff even brought out my 5 year old nephews food early, which just showed so much attentiveness. The heavy curtain separating us from the rest of the diners and the lounge area in the room made the whole experience private, even in the busy restaurant.
When you’ve had an open bar package, at some other places you might have less than timely service, but here our lovely waitstaff never let an empty drink sit for more than a moment.
We had a simply amazing time and are endlessly grateful for the Otherside team for accommodating us and making our day extremely special. It truly wouldn’t have been the same anywhere else! Strongly, strongly recommend for any private party looking for a high quality, intimate celebration. By the way, go for the jazz and the painting events!

The service was excellent and Ryan was a great host. The food was very good, highly recommend the short rib lasagna and the French onion soup on the restaurant week menu. We went on a Tuesday and it was nice and quiet which we enjoyed.

This was my second time here and it was sadly a disappointment this time. Food was great, but the service and tables left more to be desired. Went for an anniversary dinner and upon arrival for our reservation we were seated at a tiny table with folding chairs in the back of the restaurant that seemed to be an after-thought addition to seating. Good thing we didn’t get a charcuterie board because it would be the same size as our table! We wound up switching tables to something more suitable for 2 people. Service was slow and the staff had a problem figuring out what our order was because we had switched tables. One of the multiple waitresses we had offered ketchup with the fries that never came. The table next to us was never offered dessert before their check was brought and we were never offered coffee once they brought out our pre ordered price fix dessert. Other restaurants also usually acknowledge when you note that it is a special occasion on the reservation, but they didn’t bother.
