Customer service is exemplary. Orders are handled with impressive efficiency, and the staff consistently displays genuine warmth, attentiveness, and hospitality. There is an ease to the experience; nothing feels rushed, yet everything flows smoothly.
The ambiance is where The Other Trails truly shines. The space is both aesthetically pleasing and deeply calming, designed to encourage lingering rather than hurried turnover. The attached used bookstore is an absolute treasure; well-stocked, thoughtfully organized, and brimming with character. It invites exploration, discovery, and the quiet joy of getting lost among well-loved pages.
Whether you’re meeting friends or family, reading a book, playing a board game, or simply seeking a serene environment for reflection and contemplation, The Other Trails provides the perfect setting. It is more than a coffee shop; it is a gathering place, a refuge, and a thoughtfully crafted experience that invites you to slow down and stay awhile.
There’s a goal board for running races, hikes, biking events. There’s also an accomplished board you get to sign once you accomplish the goal. Just a great local spot with tasty coffee and eats!
Went to the Rock Bottom room today after it recently opened. Perfectly creative way to use the space. Explore the used books while having a quiet place to sit and drink your coffee!
They take great pride in what they serve and how they serve it. The staff is always friendly and the owners are easy to talk to.
It isn’t uncommon when you walk through the door to hear your name (and order) called out, even when you’ve only been there a few times. If you enjoy trying new things each time you might hear your name and a suggestion called out.
I’ve not had anything here that isn’t good. Even the flavor combinations that I didn’t particularly like were well made and well balanced.
I take everyone I know here when they are in town. Coffee drinkers can find whatever flavor they are looking for (maybe even a couple secret drinks), non-coffee drinkers have teas, steamers (steamed milk and flavors), smoothies, and other options as well.
You can expect to spend $5-10 on a coffee and about the same on a breakfast or lunch item. The pizzas and calzones are yum! Panini are great as well! I can’t speak to the egg things, friends all say they would order them again and again. Cookies are well worth the $1.50 each (the Trifecta, if you like peanut and peanut butter stuff YUM!)
If you are getting a drink and a bite to eat expect it to be $15-20 and worth the price.
Downstairs you will find a game room where local teens and adults go to play things like Magic the Gathering, board games, and other card games. They have day’s and nights just for these, drop in games are also welcome. Loving having a local place for the kids to go, hang out, be safe, and have a good time without being judged.
The only knock on it is that it can get a little loud inside sometimes, could say that about anywhere.
Thanks to Jodey, Phil, and the entire staff!
Oh, and yes, I’ll take my large Mocha and the next surprise drink on the list…
