Othello Restaurant is an absolute gem. From the moment the dishes hit the table, it was clear that every plate was crafted with intention, balance, and respect for quality ingredients.
We started with an array of mezze that were nothing short of exceptional. The hummus trio was silky, rich, and perfectly seasoned, finished with high-quality olive oil and spices that elevated each variation. The labneh was luxuriously creamy with just the right tang, and paired beautifully with their fresh, warm pita and za’atar bread—soft inside, lightly crisp outside, and generously topped. The falafel were crisp on the exterior with a tender, herbaceous interior, served over a smooth bed of hummus and brightened with pomegranate and fresh greens.
The crudo-style fish dish was a standout—delicate slices in a velvety, citrus-kissed sauce, topped with grains and microgreens for texture and depth. It was refined, balanced, and incredibly fresh. Even the Ceaser salad, finished with anchovies and a snowfall of finely grated cheese, showed impressive attention to detail and flavor harmony.
The sweet potato appetizer was my favorite by far! We ordered several shareable items as we couldn’t decide.
Drinks were amazing served perfectly by Caz the bartender! Her recommendations were top!
Beyond the food, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a relaxed yet polished feel. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and timing between courses was seamless.
Sebastian stopped by and we shared our comments with him as well! I took the chicken dinner home for my husband and he absolutely loved it, to which Sebastian said great choice! Indeed!

Wow this is the kind of restaurant Jacksonville has needed! It’s rare that literally everything you have at a restaurant is GREAT but that was exactly the case at Othello. I came with a group of 5 to celebrate my sister’s birthday, shopping for her wedding dress, and being pregnant. We were greeted with champagne and sparkly non alcoholic beverage for me. We were able to try many dishes due to the size of our group. We had the hummus, whipped feta, olives, sweet potato, octopus, branzino, and lamb shank among other dishes. Mouth is watering just thinking of it. Their cocktails, mocktails, and wine offerings were also wonderful. Decor is super cute, bathrooms nice, and the meal was well paced. The service was also excellent and you can tell the staff are all proud to work there. Their recommendations were spot on and they were just so excited to share and make you feel at welcomed. The owner and head chef both came to chat with our table and I fully understood what made this place a gem. Both have extensive and diverse experience in the restaurant industry, including cooking, decor, and management even at Michelin star restaurants. The owner actually grew up in Jax and I met her father who owned one what I remember to be one of the bestttt sandwich shops in downtown Jax when I was growing up. Mmmm now I’m dreaming of her dad’s sandwiches. Bonus points, I even met her dad who was also at the restaurant that night! I could go on and on about this restaurant, I was so impressed. I even bought shirts haha. Book for date night, special occasions, or just because the vibes, food, and people are great. You won’t be disappointed! Thanks Othello for a perfect night!

Othello is hands down my favorite restaurant. The food is consistently incredible, the atmosphere is cozy and intimate, and it just feels special every single time. It’s the kind of place you go for date night, celebrations, or when you just want a really good meal that hits every time. Service is always amazing everytime I visit. Can’t wait to go back ✨

Would give 10 stars if I could. My girlfriend chose this spot and I was blown away. I did not expect everything to be so flavorful, I mean I was blown away by the bread, olives, oysters. The duck is divine!! I will be back and will recommend this gem to so many. I had to tell the owner how much I loved the place.

Stopped here while in the area for work. Absolutely loved it here! The ambiance is cute and welcoming. The staff were attentive and friendly and the food was delicious! I tried the Mocktails. Zaatar pita and Branzino. Everything was super delicious. If I had to say one thing I wish they had a option of the branzino with just olives and capers or something vs the harissa but it was still good as is just a preference thing 🙂 and the baklava was absolutely amazing .

We came in late after a long day of fencing exhausted and hungry, but left with huge smiles on our faces and reflecting on how it was the best meal of our trip by far. We sat at the bar and ordered an assortment of starters including bread, hummus, falafel and raw oysters. Everything was beyond amazing, so flavorful and thoughtfully put together. The oysters were the best I’ve had in a long time. We ordered lamb for the main and it was so tender and fall of the bone, the fruit and rice paired with it was perfect. The staff were so kind and amazing, we made friends quickly and you even walked us out. Thank you for the fond memory of Jacksonville!

The smokeshow cocktail was fantastic. We had the crudo, fattoush, batatas bravas, sweet potato, chicken and cabbage entrees and the cheesecake for dessert. Everything was delicious. Our server, Kenny, was insanely pleasant, coursed everything out and paired the dishes beautifully. The cheesecake is an experience. Highly recommend this place!

One of the best (if not the best) restaurant in the Springfield Jax area. Atmosphere was perfect (lighting, seating, temp). Drinks were made to perfection. Even when the crowd picked up, bartender was attentive. I order the fish board. Will be going back!
