We have called a day before to make a reservation for 12-13 people to celebrate my friend’s birthday. The whole party got there and they made us wait another 15 more minutes when the whole time there was an empty table in the back but sat other people that came after before us. While we’re just standing there for 26 minutes. Waitress did not introduce herself just came to take drinks and food order. One of the host was being loud asking our table how many of us were there at that point we just wanted to get up and leave. Please train your staff and teach them customer service! Food is great!

My husband and I had food for days. They are so friendly and make sure you don’t leave hungry. The food itself was amazing!!!!!!! One of my favorite places to go.

I usually love this place! I went last night with my husband and our experience was ruined:/ We were seated with a family of 5, 3 were iPad kids. The chef literally flung rice EVERYWHERE while cooking, and they didn’t even put fresh vegetables in the rice like normally. The chef also didn’t do any “cool tricks” like they usually do as the kids at the table were on their iPads throwing tantrums the whole time. I really wish that they continued their normal production of cooking like throwing eggs, making an onion tower etc. The experience was upsetting, especially as we spent $100, we left immediately after the chef was done cooking. Very upset:/

I’ve been here a few times over the past few months and every time I was impressed. The food is good and they do give you good portions. Their service is top tier and the experience dining there is amazing. Keep up the good work!

Great hibachi restaurant with generous portions! Food is prepared over a grill in front of you and the cook entertains you.
The calamari pictured here comes with some amazing onion rings and tempura vegetables. It’s absolutely delicious. All the food was great.
We got the “samurai” for couples option, which includes filet mignon, chicken and shrimp. It also comes with fried rice and fried vegetables, salad and soup. The cook was extremely friendly and excellently prepared all the food. He piled food onto our plates. You’ll definitely have food to take home. The cook also played with us trying to toss food into our mouths. We also appreciate the waitress offering us refills. We definitely plan to return!
My only word of caution here is that the staff wait until you have enough people at the table to cook your food. If you’re one of the last ones you may not have time to order an appetizer like the calamari because the staff will want to cook your entree immediately. We were the first sitting around the table so we had time to talk and eat an appetizer.

We went to Otani Japanese Steakhouse for a birthday party, the chef was awesome and the show was fun as he involved the entire family. The standard volcano was turned into a Birthday candle and we all sang happy birthday. It was very entertaining. One of our party has shellfish allergies and the chef took extra care to keep everything well separated. Will definitely return.

There are many one way or the other reviews about this location, either it’s a 1 star or a 5. Given that, and my lone, personal experience with the location, I’m giving it a 3 star review. Here’s why:
My sister and I were seated on the Hibachi side, away from view of the kitchen. I’m not sure if this was by design or a coincidence. Either way, I did not get to see a view of how clean the kitchen was. That being said, this restaurant is certainly lacking in its attentiveness to cleanliness. Dirty carpets, half cleaned plates visible. Just not a great atmosphere overall. The walls could also use a fresh color of paint.
The saving grace of this adventure was the food. I started with friend calamari. It was lightly breaded and perfectly golden when it came out. You can easily tell used oil in that the food will be very dark brown. SO at least I knew they had changed the oil.
The hibachi chef was good, not great. He was only entertaining my sister and I. Can’t judge his ability to work a crowd when there was no crowd to work.
The noodles, rice and veggies that I had were fairly solid offerings, but a bit pricey, regardless of the large portion size. if it would’ve been 15% less it would’ve been spot on for pricing, but for right now it’s definitely priced a bit high for the market.
Overall, the experience was ok, not fantastic. Considering what my expectation were going in the door, I was pleasantly surprised. But it was certainly no five star experience for myself.

Great hibachi experience! The chef did a great job with entertaining abs cooking to the right temperature. The filet was tender with a lot of flavor. The onion volcano is always great to watch. They also sang happy birthday.

I’ve always had a pleasant experience with Otani whenever I go out to eat here. The staff are nice and friendly, and the portions are generous. They’re also slightly cheaper compared to other hibachi restaurants around the area. Can’t go wrong with Otani!

I took my daughter here for her 25th birthday. I called ahead to reserve a table for 7 people just in case it was busy. The restaurant was easy to find and had ample parking. When entering the restaurant, there is a sign stating masks required while waiting to be seated. Not everyone had masks in our party but the staff did not say anything since we were seated right away. There were about 4 other parties there so the restaurant was not crowded. Because the food is cooked right in front of you, it can get a little warm at the table. The staff provides fans in addition to the air conditioning so it was quite comfortable. The menu selection includes a good variety. I chose the shrimp, steak, and chicken with fried rice. While the chef is setting up, we were served drinks, soups and salad. The salad is very basic (lettuce and dressing) but tasty. The soup was good as well. Not too filling so I thought I would have plenty of room for the rice and main entree. The chef was very friendly and put on a great show. He asked if we were there for a special occasion and we let him know it was out daughter’s 25th birthday. He had us all sing happy Birthday and gave special attention to our daughter which was a really nice touch on top of the great show and fabulous meal. Some of our party elected for noodles and the rest had fried rice. The chef cooked it right in front of us, giving a great show at the same time. I tried the noodles from my wife’s plate and they tasted great. The fried rice was fantastic and the serving size was huge. Next came the shrimp and steak which both tasted fantastic. We each had a separate bowl of teriyaki sauce and yum yum sauce for dipping. The yum yum paired great with the shrimp and the teriyaki sesame sauce was great with the steak. Next came the chicken and it was cooked perfectly. All of the meat was chopped and cooked just right. I dont usually leave a restaurant with leftovers from my own plate but there was so much food, I couldn’t eat it all, which was a good thing because it made a great meal the next day. Everyone was extremely satisfied with the service, quality of food, cleanliness of the establishment, and service provided by our server. I will definitely be returning again to try some other items on the menu. I highly recommend this restaurant.
