Reviews
The food was ok, not great. My husband’s hibachi salmon was not cooked thoroughly and he did not eat it. The chef seemed a little nervous and inexperienced. Sushi was not the best. For the price I would probably not go back.
The staff was very kind.
Such a better experience from the beginning thab other sin the area who have a mean hostess.
Great food, great service and made our experiences memorable. We will come back often
The food: typical hibachi experience with chef preparing food and entertaining everyone during the cooking. The steak, seafood, and chicken were all pretty good. Onion soup and salad was really good! Apple pie spring were good, but the surprise favorite was the fried cheesecake!
Service:
Hibachi chef was excellent. Polite and entertaining. Made good food.
Server seemed frustrated and was not attentive.
Atmosphere:
Fun atmosphere with the parties around the hibachi grills.
I specifically requested that my scallops be cut in half, as I’ve noticed in previous dining experiences that they are sliced horizontally to make them appear larger. To my dismay, I was informed that they would be cut in half for the purpose of cooking evenly, but the amount of scallops would remain the same regardless of the cut.
For a whopping $30 charge, I received approximately five scallops that were cut in half or possibly sliced into thirds. To make matters worse, the fried rice that is usually included in the meal was also an additional charge.
As if that wasn’t enough, the chef completed the plates before they were placed in front of us, preventing us from eating while the food was being prepared. Consequently, our vegetables arrived cold, and the room where we were seated was extremely chilly. The hostess even had to place a heater in the room to warm it up.
To top it all off, our hot tea was extra and quickly became cold due to the low room temperature. Overall, our experience at this restaurant was disappointing, and we have no intention of returning.
We came for the hibachi meal where they cook in front of you. I was there with a large group that filled the entire table. I was very disappointed with the cook. The whole reason you go and do hibachi is for the show. Well, there basically was no show. Yes he did the flaming volcano in the onion and that’s about it. No knives being bounced around no shrimp being tossed into peoples mouths nothing. When one of the other guests said something about the shrimp being tossed into the mouth and not having done it the cooks said I’m too old for that. Extremely disappointing. I’ve been to many other hibachi’s. Typically they serve you hot tea with the meal and some type of ice cream dessert, and a fortune cookie. This hibachi does not do that. You just get the meal.
Lastly, when we first walked in to this restaurant, there was a smell of sewage that overcomes you. It’s very unappealing. They need to figure out why that is.
If I was basing my review, only on sashimi, it would be five stars. If I’m basing it only on hibachi it would be two stars. If I’m basing it on the smell, I smelled when I first walked into the restaurant it would be one star. Thank goodness they have Sushimi.
