Simply put, the meal was delightful! I ordered the caprese salad and when it came the tomatoes were perfectly firm and cut thick! The sauce/glaze on top was not my favorite, but that was easily scraped off and is just my personal preference (the basil was amazing though)! I continued the meal with the lobster and squid ink ravioli and it was SO good, I just wish I was given more because I cleared the whole plate! I ended with tiramisu and it was yummy. The mascarpone layer was a bit thick to me, but the 3 other people I was with thought it was the best part. Overall, such a good meal and none of my preferences were big enough to take off a star!

Visited on a Monday late afternoon, when the restaurant was just starting dinner service. We were offered fresh, lightly toasted bread with OO. The food was tasty. The plating presentation and menu options were old-fashioned.

Osteria Toscana in downtown Palo Alto was a fine experience enjoying pleasant Italian food. We got started with the complimentary bread which was freshly baked and easy to chew. The pasta I ordered (forgot the name but it’s like a lasagna dish and fully vegetarian) was incredible, from the sauce and cheese to the flavors in the pasta and the portion size was generous. Our server, Jorge, was fantastic from start to finish, checking on us regularly and getting our orders out quite quickly. This is definitely on the pricier side, but it’s worth it for the food and ambience. Parking is a bit tricky but in addition to street parking there’s a garage a couple blocks away with free parking. Highly recommend this place.

Lovely food…we sat outside and with a delightful briny breeze, the dinner was memorable. The young gentleman who took our orders was extra careful with a vegetarian like me…he confessed that mostly, he too preferred to be a vegetarian…these little interactions with people who work in a place makes it that much more of a special occasion!

Been here a few times for both lunch and dinner and the experience has been good. Recommend making a reservation and ask for in or outside seating. Food has always come out hot and tasted good. Did not like the salad which also had veined shrimp and staff did not see anything wrong with that. The table feels small for the serving dishes size they use. Inside the table to table space is tight. Public street parking or public lots are your only option for here.

Pre pandemic this was a one of my favorite restaurants and the linguine con vongole with white sauce was my favorite dish. Sadly, times have changed. On a recent visit, the price of this dish is now $30 for a plate of flavorless, greasy pasta with watery tasting clams. Very disappointed.

We ordered seafood pasta and salad. Both are great and very authentic. Waiter is very fun and entertaining. They even offered water for my dog. So sweet. Thank you!

I enjoyed their warm bread, toasty bruschetta, and savory carbonara with al dente noodles. Of course, I said yes to parmesan and freshly ground black pepper. Friendly service as well.

Wonderful ambiance, delicious food, great service! If you’re wanting to go in a larger group or want to ensure outdoor seating, you’ll have to make a reservation in advance because it fills quickly! I ordered the gnocchi and it was incredible! The workers are very professional and we loved the views of the outdoor seating.

The food and service here were outstanding. First they serve you a half a loaf of sliced sourdough bread with olive oil and chopped olives. The menu is extensive with pastas and assorted anti-pasta dishes. The wait staff is very friendly and accommodating as is the host. I had the poached salmon And steamed diced tomatoes with cream spinach. On the side of the plate was the young corn and beans cooked to perfection in butter and garlic.
