Flavorful starters – such as earthy funghi and the softest focaccia I’ve ever had – set the tone as we lingered over candlelit tables, momentarily transported to Italy.
I ordered the agnolotti with beef cheek and mushrooms and left fully satisfied. It was indulgent, but balanced. The cocktails (crafted by the owner himself) were some of the best I’ve had in the city.
What struck me most was how the evening captured the soul of New York: diverse influences layered with intention and mastery. Something new honoring something old. It doesn’t get more New York than that.
That said, the food wasn’t quite there yet for me. The salad was a little underdressed, the octopus had a fishy note, and the pastas, while fresh, didn’t pack as much flavor as I hoped. The steak tartare was dense
Still, I really like the direction they’re going in and I genuinely want them to succeed – it’s the kind of place I’d love to see thrive in the neighborhood. Worth checking out and supporting as they continue to grow into their vision.
There was a hair in our melanzane, and while they said they wouldn’t charge for it, we felt an apology or gesture would have been more appropriate.
The food overall was average and nothing particularly memorable, yet priced on the higher side. The ambiance and service were nice, but sadly, we don’t plan to return
Service: Immediately received a warm reception from the Owner. We were walked through the menu and given some recommendations. No long waits between courses, service was always timely and professional, all of our questions were answered.
Environment: I will say I liked the atmosphere, doesn’t feel too cramped or anything. Tables were lit by candlelight creating a truly intimate experience, would definitely recommend for a date night.
Food: Our starters included these lovely croquettes with a pistachio aioli. The Funghi and the prosciutto were favorites for our party. For my main, I opted to go with the Agnello, a rolled lamb belly with radicchio jam and fennel. Robust flavors balancing slightly fatty lamb, salty, sweet notes and that lovely anisey profile you get from fennel; they all played well together. I really enjoyed it. If I were to recommend a cocktail, I’d go with the “Never for Money”. We finished up with a lovely medley of desserts, but my absolute favorite was the Spiced Apple Cake; you’d do well to treat yourself to it.
I will certainly be back.
Great selections for appetizers, we wanted the entire menu, everything we had was perfection. The ramp ravioli, the special seared tuna.. Loved how the fish was served with lots of greens! Cocktails we’re on point, bartender was flexible and made something off menu that was perfect, nice wines we tried a few!
I had dinner at Osteria Radisa recently, and honestly, it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The staff were unfriendly, impatient, and downright rude. From the moment we sat down, they acted like they were doing us a favor by serving us.
When I asked a simple question about the menu, the waiter snapped back with attitude instead of helping. The food took ages to arrive, and when it did, it was barely warm and bland. I mentioned it politely, but they just ignored me.
The whole dinner felt uncomfortable. No smile, no manners, and definitely no sense of hospitality. I left frustrated and disappointed. Definitely not worth the money or the mood.
