I sat at the bar, service was prompt. It has a great neighborhood Italian atmosphere. Started off with a great old fashioned. I chose the Warm Olives for an appetizer. They were well bathed in seasoned olive oil and garlic, with a large serving of focaccia. DELICIOUS! For the entree I had the Tagliatelle Bolognese with meatball. WOW!
If I’m in Columbus again, definitely going back.
Let’s start with the good: the Hungarian stuffed peppers were outstanding. Seriously, they were a 10/10 – incredibly flavorful and a must-try, though they do pack a surprising amount of heat!
On the other hand, the Italian salad (with added chicken) felt a bit underwhelming for its $17 price point. The portion seemed quite modest, especially once the dressing container was removed from the salad bowl, which made it appear even smaller. For pickup orders, it might be beneficial to package the dressing separately to optimize the perceived (and actual) volume of the salad. I think my dessert order also got mixed up; I received ice cream instead of the lemon sorbet I’d anticipated.
Given these minor issues with pickup, I likely won’t be choosing that option again.
However, the deliciousness of the stuffed peppers has certainly piqued my interest for a full dine-in experience. I’m hopeful that a meal at the restaurant will provide a more complete and satisfying impression of Osteria Pizzeria.
Pizza: Sweet peaches, savory cheese, and a light char that balanced it all.
Cobbler: Topped with vanilla ice cream — the perfect finish.
Drinks: Both peach cocktails were good, but the whiskey one (small glass, big ice cube) was my favorite.
Bonus: Takeaway tastes just as good as dining in — rare to find.

We can early a bit before noon, so the place was empty. Ordered meatball and 2 pizza (Numero Uno and Margherita).
The meatball was flavorful , tender not packed like most other meatball we had in any Italian restaurant. Marinara sauce was fresh, good tomato flavor not sweet yet without acidic taste. Focaccia was light , airy , crusty yet soft at the same time.
Both pizza came out very good also. The dough had enough chewiness, perfect thinness. It’s probably one of the best pizza I’ve ever had.
Will definitely go back to try their other dishes.
Service was also good, server was quick, friendly.
