Loved their homemade tagliolini tossed with courgettes and chestnut mushrooms on a pecorino cheese fondue! Al dente, aromatic, and creamy, silky in the mouth. A genuine delight to have lunch here followed by a nice beach walk. Good location, too. Good recommendation of rose. We felt welcome and the front-of-house was flawless to complement such talented kitchen team. Super good value for money for their 3-course lunch menu.

I visited North Berwick last week and asked my hosts to book a good restaurant for us. They did and it was GOOD. It ranks as one of the best I have ever dined in. Unfortunately we didn’t have a photograph taken there so the photo’ was taken whilst having a nightcap.

The rose-red slices of raw beef fillet are cut expertly thin, almost translucent, and streaked with fat. Yet this carpaccio is so soft, so melty, so full of feels in the mouth, I come perilously close to abandoning my principles. It’s drizzled with taleggio cheese fondue, lighter and less ripe than hoped for, closer to a mild cream. Dessert is a perfect tiramisu, all unending (and unfinishable) ruffles of cream and savoiardi soaked in booze.

A really lovely family run Italian restaurant.
You are greeted at the door like a long lost friend.
The service was very good and friendly, plenty of genuine smiles.
It’s a small menu which changes every couple of weeks. All cooked to order.
The fish of the day Rock Bass was excellent.
This is a small restaurant with about 30 covers and you definitely need to book quite a long way in advance.
A most enjoyable evening and one we will try to repeat.
