Basement Italian!? Yes please! Located in the heart of Larimer Square, this little gem rocks a 5/5 across the board. The service, food, prices, and cocktails were outstanding. Started with their burrata. Heathy portion of cheese surrounded by a perfectly proportioned amount of fresh baked sourdough bread. My mouth is watering all over again. Next up was the caesar salad! An entree in itself. Deliciously topped with two anchovies to stay true to form. Ended with the pesto campanelle. The chicken was so juicy and once again staying true to how the Italians do it, a healthy portion to split #familystyle. Big shout out to Eric S.! 11/10 customer service. Fabulous recommendations and tentative throughout our visit. We will most definitely be coming back. P.S. the fresh Parmesan on top of the salad was simply divine.

Sat at the bar as a walk-in at around 645pm and had an awesome time. Definitely get the burrata. It’s so fresh and was like butter on the toasted sour dough. We were deciding between a lot of the delicious restaurants on Larimer and do happy we chose this one! The bartender suggested the bucatini carbonara with the chicken parm on top and it was a perfect splitting meal. Great date night spot. We definitely spent more money on drinks than food. Note that the 22% tip is added on.

Great place to stop in for a good pre theater bite.
We ordered a salad and a few apps to share…highlight was the roasted squash mixed green salad….this was soooo great!
Next best was the fried calamari…flavorful and crisp, yet not oily and overcooked as a lot of restaurants seem to do.
Our least favorite, was what they are “famous” for, the house made Burrata. It was by no means bad, just compared to the others it was just very plain. Would have liked to see something else with it to compliment….
Sevice was great and fast even with a full restaurant. It is a bit loud though, but as expected for a lively restaurant.
We look forward to returning!

Very cozy feel to this beautiful downstairs restaurant. Had a bit of a hiccup when our server got overwhelmed with a big group but he (Bennett) and the host/front of house (Joel) swooped in quickly. The food is.. amazing. We had the mussels, mushroom pizza short rib. All were delicious. They recommended a fantastic wine. Great experience. Great food. Great service. Highly recommend!!

12/30/25 Truly a stellar experience and what stood out the most was the most incredible staff and their friendliness! We are new fans and will return…

Only constructive criticism was that online I requested the best seats in the house for our first visit and a double date, and we even arrived half an hour early to enjoy a cocktail at the bar and scope out where we would like to be seated… they originally assigned a terrible booth location then I requested the fabulous and wide open “wine room” area, but they STILL placed us in a corner by the stairs and felt secluded / stuck in back. Our reservations were 630p and still didn’t get sat until 645p despite arriving early 🙁 I feel they knew this and apologized with comp lemon cello shots and cookies.

Osteria Marco looks nice at first glance, but it’s basically a dark, noisy basement. The acoustics are bad—conversation becomes shouting the moment it gets busy. Food was fine, nothing special for the price, and service was friendly but scattered. Overhyped spot with great branding but little charm once you’re seated.

Cozy, amazing service and amazing food. What more could you ask for. We had the espresso martinis which were top notch, the Bolognese, cacio e pepe and the chicken parmesan. All 10/10

My husband was given a gift certificate to this restaurant for his 77th birthday. We absolutely loved it. One of the best dining experiences we’ve shared. I was especially excited about the burrata. It is the closest thing to my favorite cheese in Puglia, Italy that I’d had here in the states. My husband needed gf. He loved his pizza and said the mushrooms and truffle sauce were the best he’d ever had. And the chocolate bomb for desert was . . . well, the bomb! But what made our experience most special was our server, Cara. She somehow pulled off being efficient while also being personable. It was very busy. We got one of the last reservations, but she served us as if the room wasn’t full. When she found out we were celebrating my husband, we got desert on the house. I also told her that I’d had a once-in-a-lifetime experience in Italy the summer before to celebrate 50 years of friendship with my childhood best friend. She brought me a limoncello so I could continue to embrace the memories the fabulous burrata, Aperol Spritz, and Italian wine were bringing up. The experience was joyous. It will be one of our life-long treasured memories . . . and is likely our new anniversary restaurant.

★★★★ (really more like 3½ stars)
Osteria Marco has been one of my favorite Denver restaurants for many years. The food is consistently delicious — the burrata is as good as what my Italian Nana used to make! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is generally decent, though not quite at the level you’d hope for given the 22% mandatory service fee and the expectation of an additional tip. I completely respect supporting a living wage for staff, but the overall cost has gotten pretty steep, which makes it harder to justify for a regular dinner. I still love stopping in for happy hour — great food, good energy, and a more reasonable way to enjoy a longtime favorite.

Authentic Italian, Amazing Food, and Fantastic for Groups

We had an incredible dinner at this Italian restaurant and it exceeded expectations on every level. We came with a big group of about 10 people, and the staff handled it flawlessly—from the seating arrangements to the service, everything was smooth and well-organized. It’s not always easy to find a place that can accommodate a large party while still delivering top-notch food and service, but they absolutely nailed it.

The meal itself was outstanding. We started with a variety of fresh salads, which were crisp, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The pasta dishes were a real highlight—each one cooked perfectly al dente and full of rich, authentic Italian flavor. The pizzas were just as impressive, with delicious crusts and fresh toppings that had everyone reaching for seconds.

We finished off with dessert, and it was the perfect ending. Whether it was the classic tiramisu or another sweet treat, everything was delicious and clearly made in-house with care.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff remained attentive throughout the evening—even with a full table. They made sure drinks were topped up, courses came out in good time, and everyone felt well taken care of.

If you’re looking for genuine Italian cuisine and a place that can handle a crowd without sacrificing quality, this is it. Highly recommend and would definitely come back again!
