Social Profile:

Located in the heart of Vancouver’s Cambie Village, Elio Volpe is the carefree cousin of Savio Volpe. Carried in on a culinary wind from the south, Osteria Elio Volpe, named for the fox whose moniker means ‘sun’, exemplifies the best of Italian hospitality, lust for life, and a deep love of food, but through a new, sunnier lens – sunkissed, seafaring, laid back and fresh. Above all else, like its close cousin Savio, Elio celebrates liveliness, warmth and hospitality. By Banda Volpi, the gang behind Osteria Savio Volpe, Caffè La Tana, and Pepino’s Spaghetti House.

Had brunch here today. It’s a lovely space and deceiving from the outside — it’s much larger than it looks. Lots of seating options including bar seating perfect for solos. Right off Cambie in a great area. The hostess was lovely and we were seated quickly (recommended reservation). Then things got a bit rough. There was another table seated next to us immediately after us. The server headed to that table straight away and was MIA for what seemed like a long time. We ended up waving over another server just so we could get water and order coffee. That server was warm and gracious and even took the time to explain the menu. Our server headed our way eventually and I’m not sure how else to describe her but she was stand off ish— weird vibe. It didn’t ruin our experience but she wasn’t awesome. We ordered and the food arrived quickly. All the food was tasty and healthy portions. Overall I’d say it was a good experience and maybe our server was just having a rough day. It’s worth a visit for sure — everyone else was lovely.

Great dine-out Volpe menu of 2026.
Restaurant was very busy even on a Monday but service was very good and food was satisfying.

Fennel salad was refreshing, Beef Tenderloin Spiedini was tender and the sauce was yummy! Pepperoni pizza smokily delicious with thin crispy crust, the Duck legs dish was also delicious. Citrus semolina cake nice and fluffy but a tad too sweet for our taste.

Dined here with a few friends a little while ago and had a lovely time. The waiters were nice and the restaurant itself is super cute with a cozy vibe.

We ordered the beets with goat cheese, vodka pasta, cacio e pepe, pepperoni pizza, strip loin steak, roasted chicken, broccolini, squash, and the sole mio. The pastas and meats were definitely the highlights! The beets were good but nothing special, the pizza was very disappointing, and the sauce served over the broccolini tasted identical to buffalo sauce and therefore just felt really incompatible with the rest of the dishes. The delicata squash side however deserves a special shout out. The pumpkin seed and sesame purée that it sat on was one of the most interesting yet delicious things I have ever eaten. Make sure not to skip the sole mio (vanilla gelato with olive oil, amaro syrup, and honeycomb)!

Would recommend, however I am definitely more of a fan of Savio!

The food was very good — the pasta and steak were excellent as expected, though the pizza dough could use a bit more attention. Personally, Savio Volpe has become so popular, and the tables there are close together, that it’s hard to have a proper conversation. Here, however, the layout feels much more thoughtfully spaced, which I really appreciated. The server was warm and attentive as well. I’m also curious about their brunch menu, so I’ll definitely be back to try it.

Steve, Sophie, and Daisy are simply amazing! Steve has always been consistent with us every time we’re at Elio Volpe! And that’s at least twice a month! Steve is such an asset to Elio Volpe. He’s such a professional and goes over and beyond when it comes to providing excellent service. He remembers what we like, from my favourite drink (the prosecco), to our favourite meals: Pepperoni pizza, Mantecato dip, Cacio e Peppe pasta, the half roasted chicken with broccolini, the different flavours of gelato: the salted caramel, the straciatelli, the Ciocollato. Sophie and Daisy make sure that we always get our favourite table. All these are what sets Elio Volpe apart from the other restaurants. The warmth, the consistency both in food and service. We are so truly grateful. Please, please extend our warm appreciation to the Culinary team and to the staff most especially Steve, Sophie (who we knew from Le Crocodile), and Daisy. Thank you so much from Ron and Matte!

I’ve visited Elio Volpe for brunch and dinner and have enjoyed our meal every time! The space is bright, contemporary and beautifully designed. Our server was very attentive as well.

Don’t skip out on the appetizers – we loved the house rolls with brown butter, baccala mantecato dish, and the homemade chips were soo good. Not pictured is the pepperoni pizza with hot honey, if you enjoy super thin/crispy pizzas, it’s a must order. Overall I actually prefer the design and ambiance of this restaurant over Savio Volpe (but both are amazing)!

Super cute place, with delicious food and drinks! The atmosphere was great and was constantly busy throughout the night. Totally worth having a reservation. Only downside was that our waitress wasn’t the most pleasant. It looked like she was having an off day with minimal expressions or checking in on us.

But overall, still a great place! Would recommend their semolina house rolls & calabraselli alla vodka

Celebrated my friend’s birthday and the holidays last night, it was both our first time at Elio and they knocked it out of the park! Only bar seating was left for reservations but it was pretty spacious and comfortable. The house rolls and thin crust pizza were amazing! Loved the sole mio dessert as well. Restaurant ambiance was cozy and inviting, would definitely visit again. A special shout out to all the staff and our server Maya who were so attentive and welcoming throughout the dining experience!

It was my first time trying this restaurant for brunch. Megan was in charge of my table and her service was fantastic. She ensured my guests and my glasses were filled at all times, and provided promptly everything we wanted. The food was fabulous, and we have nothing to complain. The atmosphere was comfortable and cozy. We were seated by the right side of the entrance by the bar(?). We like the high privacy of the area.

Something to work on would be the payment system. If you pay by card, whatever amount of tips you pay is calculated after tax is added. For instance, I chose to pay 18% tips, but ended up paying 23.5% tips. I guess a workaround would be to pay by cash.

I will return to try the other dishes.

Had an amazing brunch experience at Osteria Elio Volpe in Vancouver. The space itself is modern, bright, and beautifully designed, with warm wood accents and a relaxed but refined atmosphere. It feels both stylish and comfortable, perfect for enjoying a slow meal with friends.

The food was the real highlight. We started with their Eggs Benedict — perfectly poached eggs with a rich, silky hollandaise that spilled over tender lobster and fresh greens. The crispy potatoes on the side were addictive, with a crunchy exterior and soft inside. The large pizza came out hot and fragrant, loaded with toppings like smoky bacon, mushrooms, herbs, and just the right amount of cheese — thin crust with a little char that gave it a beautiful texture.

For something lighter, the waffle topped with fresh berries, edible flowers, and a drizzle of custard cream was a delightful finish — sweet but balanced, and plated beautifully. Even the little details stood out, like the complimentary star-shaped cookie and the iced chocolate drink with citrus zest that felt refreshing and unique.

Every dish we had looked as good as it tasted, and the service was attentive without being rushed. This was one of those meals where everything — from the ambiance to the flavors — came together perfectly.
