The server was very friendly and attentive. She patiently answered all the questions that we had. She recommended a good Tuscany wine bottle. She checked in on us multiple times and poured wine for us.
We had a wonderful dinner in a very nice and relaxing ambience.
We highly recommend this restaurant.
The place is cosy and casual, but the food and wine are definitely on another level here! Alika helped us find a really interesting italian wine for our food and a nice Grappa for dessert.
A definite recommendation, I’ll be back whenever I’m in Firenze.
We politely explained this to the manager, but instead of trying to help or offering an alternative dish or even a dessert, she argued with us and insisted that the fish had been prepared properly. There was no apology or attempt to make the situation better.
Because of this, we ended up eating only about a quarter of the meal. In the end, the bill came to 388 euros, yet we had only eaten four small side salads and four small vegetable dishes. We barely touched the fish.
We also noticed that bread was not brought to our table when we sat down. Only after the fish arrived—and we realized we had almost nothing we could eat—did we ask for bread. Meanwhile, the table next to us received bread immediately when they were seated.
We left the restaurant hungry, disappointed, and with the feeling that the management simply did not care about our experience.
I would like to add that the waiter himself was very kind and polite throughout the evening, which unfortunately stood in stark contrast to the attitude of the shift manager.
The food and service were all exquisite and would highly recommend this Osteria to locals and tourists visiting Florence.
The scallop appetizer was melt in your mouth delicious! High marks for the Amberjack! The homemade tagliatelle was very light and delicious. The Tiramisu was very creamy, but the Forever and Ever dessert took the spotlight: vanilla ice cream with fig sauce and fresh figs on top! Wow! The couple that own this restaurant are doing an excellent job with their hidden gem, right on the Ponte Vecchio. I highly recommend!
