Once my cousin and I were seated at the table, our waiter Christian acknowledged us once because the Christmas tree kept getting tangled on my cousins hair. Christian moved us to a more comfortable seat and we were thankful but maybe we should’ve kept our original spot because we became invisible to our server as the night progressed. This was the most aggravating experience because I tried multiple times to get his attention and I just kept being ignored. Our appetizers and food took about 30-40 minutes each to come out. When the main course arrived it looked like Alfredo! If I wanted Alfredo I would’ve made it at home. Where was the regular red wine infused pasta, white truffle sauce, and the seasonal truffle on top. My cousin was super disappointed and the first to notice because she knew the pasta was not supposed to look the way it did. At this point I asked for a manager—they took the food back but when it came back out it was the same Alfredo pasta but with truffle sprinkled on top.
Lastly to make matters worse gratuity was included in the bill—which baffled me. I’ll never be back to this establishment. Please do not believe their hyped up instagram page.
We had an 8:00 PM reservation for two and waited 30 minutes past our reservation time with no one greeting us at the door or explaining what was happening. Once seated, we weren’t offered the New Year’s menu and only learned about it after asking.
Service throughout the night felt very minimal. There was little to no check-in from our server, and it eventually got to the point where I had to leave the table to ask the manager about our food.
The Osteria pasta was not what was described on the menu. While it wasn’t bad, it looked like standard fettuccine and was not the tableside pasta experience I specifically came for, especially as someone who’s had it here before. We also had to speak with the manager regarding the shaved truffle, which should not have required additional follow-up at this price point.
For $85 per person, especially on New Year’s Eve, the experience should have been far more attentive and organized. This was unfortunately one of the worst experiences I’ve had here, which is disappointing given how much I’ve enjoyed this restaurant in the past
And the bread pudding!
