Amazing steak! I never eat my steak medium. Always well done but here I had it medium and wow! The steak is prepared on charcoal in front of you. The hostess /owner is so amazing. I know no Italian and he knows little English and we made it work. What a memorable dinner with family! My sister doesn’t eat meat and she had the pasta and the roasted potato and never had anything like this before. The vino Rosso recommended was perfect match with the food. Thank you!

We went to La Ciccia for Christmas dinner and we had probably something a little more unusual than most people, as we only got appetisers and pastas (rather than the meat they are famous for). Needless to say, we were not disappointed at all! We had meatballs and cured ham and they were divine, the meatballs were soft and rich and the ham melted in our mouths. As pasta we had cacio e pepe, orecchiette con ragu di salsiccia and white ragu, to try a different selection of first courses. The wine selection is also top notch and the desserts come in generous portions. We were so incredibly happy with all we had. The staff is friendly (especially Oronzo Leo and Lorenzo) and they were happy to accomodate all our requests where possible. The environment is very familiar, it gives that proper brasseria kind of vibe, with the meat cuts exposed and the exposed oven and brace. Definitely a place where we will return and where we will bring friends and family, thank you!

One of the best steaks I have ever eaten (t-bone)
The service is very welcoming and really could not ask for anything more from the service
The atmosphere is very warm and nice, with nice music and in the right volume, makes you feel very comfortable helping you enjoy your food better
It loses one star because of the desserts. We got one tiramisu and one pana cotta, they were not so tasty especially the tiramisu.

Let’s talk about food. We, as a foreigner and tourist, chose a restaurant and our local Milano friend said this place is good for meat. So we expected to have good steak here even though he hasn’t been to this restaurant before.

Food was okay. I would say a little bit above average with starters and spaghetti carbonara.

However, the steak was very chewy. I know steak should be cooked medium rare but some part was still red and it was inedible because it was too chewy. We had to ask the chef to cook a bit more but it was still chewy so we left it without finishing the dish.

My opinion is that it’s over-priced with the food quality. Thank you.

I chose this place because intrigued by pictures of Cotoletta Milanese. Unfortunately once there I discovered they were out of it. I was tempted to leave to come back another day and I’m glad instead that I stayed.

I found the food to be very good. Everything was tasty and hearty.

I found meatballs quite good but a bit cold, like they had been reheated a bit too quickly. The tomato sauce was really good.

The pasta cacio & papa was really tasty and I was impressed by the texture of the cheese cream.

The sausage was extremely tasty and caught me by surprise, in a positive way.

I wish I had some room for dessert but I could not eat anymore.

Something that could have made the night even better is if when I entered I didn’t perceive a sense of deep pressure and somehow urgency in the waiters that somehow transferred. I could see how things relaxed as the night was coming to an end and most customers started leaving, leaving the place quieter. They were clearly very busy when I got in.

A late Friday evening in Milano, we wanted to find a restaurant with pasta and a cosy atmosphere. From the outside, this restaurant looked good, except for the table outside which was full of left overs although the guests have already left. We got a table outside next to this ”leftover table” and then after 15 minutes we were faced by a grumpy old waiter who started his interaction by saying ”NO BREAD” in an angry manner. Then I asked if they have a different type of bread, and he got angry by that question and took the basket of dry bread (the left overs) from the other table and aggressively put it on our table, so disgusting.

After the order, it took 20+ minutes to get our pasta and we didn’t even get the wine menu I had asked for when we made the order of food. ”Luckily”, the owner of the restaurant went out to take a cigarette and then I asked him what local wine they had. The guy took the semi full bottle on the leftover table and served us this wine. I was completely shocked by this service, it was so bad I can’t even describe it.

The food was not bad, but not the best I’ve ever had, average at best. But please, if you are in Milano, please avoid this place at all cost. You would get better service at McDonalds.

Seemed like a typical Italian restaurant, not so popular with tourists, rather local. Food was very delicious, I recommend it for sure!
Very friendly waiter, but because we were the last ones inside, he was standing there looking at us until we were done eating. That was a bit uncomfortable.

The owner and Mamma both were so friendly! We chatted and it was great. The food here totally slayed! The T-bone was stellar and we received a wine recommendation that paired perfectly. Mamma insisted we should be given free amaretti biscuits wow! A+++++ high recommendation!

Amazing cotoletta milanese. Also the pasta we ate (with salsiccia) was extremely tasty. Only negative thing I can say about this place is that the waiter who took care of us was a bit moody and the bread wasn’t fresh. But overall it was an amazing dinner and not worth to cut off points.
