We recently moved to the Upper West Side and decided to try Osteria Accademia, and we’re so happy we did. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed dinner in the neighborhood.

The service was genuinely great , attentive, friendly, and professional without being overbearing. You can tell they really care about their guests.

The pasta was fresh and absolutely delicious. You can taste the quality and authenticity in every bite. It feels like a true neighborhood Italian spot that we’re lucky to have nearby.

We’ll definitely be coming back!

Just wow. We didn’t have much to have a full dinner, but we did order the paccheri and squid ink pasta, and they were both delicious!! The pastas are handmade fresh, and the flavor was just perfect! The cheesecake and cannolis were amazing too. The place itself is very cute as well. We enjoyed the vibe, and they had a high chair for our 7 month old. Service was great. Can’t wait to return and try other items on the menu!

First time trying its dinner menu, absolutely delicious. The braised short ribs is just unbeatable, unbelievably tender and juicy. They’re known for their pasta which was good as well but not in the same league as the proteins. Very elegant atmosphere.

I never really come to Google to make reviews but this place genuinely deserves it. Maria was one of the sweetest waitress I’ve ever had on top of the welcoming service and environment, I loved my pasta (lamb ravioli) and got yummy desserts. The fennel salad turned a vegetable hater into a lover. 10/10 would recommend!!!
+ you can pick up a book from the shelves and read it if you’d like

Such a lovely atmosphere, but unfortunately didn’t enjoy the food and service as much as I was hoping. The service felt inattentive, and the food was a bit bland – the lamb shank was overcooked and under seasoned, and burrata and beet antipasti also lacked flavor. The caccio e Pepe ravioli was delicious as was the calamari. Ordered gelato for dessert and the consistency and flavor was nothing like normal gelato — it almost tasted like a dairy substitute.
I live in the neighborhood so I’d love to try again…hoping maybe my experience was off from the norm.

A lovely Italian gem.. nice selection of pasta dishes accompanied with a tasty smooth bottle of white wine is what it takes to make us happy .. a party of four – we arrived un-announced on a late cold February evening … luckily being sorted within minutes and served a delicious 4 pasta dishes … all this clustered in a lovely library decor

I celebrated my birthday dinner at Osteria Accademia and it was the best choice I could’ve made!! The space is intimate and cozy, with a warm atmosphere that made the night feel extra special. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was truly exceptional. I’m so grateful to Rinor, Mariale, Allison, and Pamela for their kindness and care throughout the night.

We enjoyed a full feast of fried artichoke hearts, beef carpaccio, burrata, squid ink pasta, scallop risotto, lasagna, mashed potatoes with short rib, and for dessert, crème brûlée, ricotta tart with berries, and tiramisu. Every dish was perfection!

One of the best dinners ive had in NYC!

Originally we came here because it was on a list of Italian food ranked by Michael Imperioli (Christopher from the Sopranos), and it didnt disappoint!

The staff was very nice, the drinks were great, and the food was phenomenal!

I loved the decor of this place- it makes for an amazing date night or night of catching up with friends. The ambience is 10/10 and the staff is extremely attentive and kind. The food disappointed me though- our group ordered the veal appetizer, garlic bread, Lobster Ravioli, the Caccio Pepe ravioli, and chicken parm entree.
The veal appetizer let me down- almost tasted like a fancy lunchable
Garlic bread was the saving grace and really nice to have with our dishes.
Lobster ravioli was ok but lacked depth of flavor. Tasted more like sea foam
Caccio Pepe ravioli didn’t taste like much of anything- couldn’t quite taste the cheese and felt like I was just eating dough covered in sauce
The chicken parm was huge- this is what I personally got- which made me very happy as I’m more of a protein person. It felt under seasoned however, both the chicken itself and the sauce it came in, and all I could taste was really the mozzarella. Garlic bread really came through here.
Overall, I would come back just for the ambience and high quality service. I hope the food improves a little bit though especially for the price point
Note: only ended up being over 50pp because we got a bottle of wine (wine recommendations were 10/10) but food was decently priced for portions but not justified with the quality

The food is incredibly fresh and delicious, the atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is super friendly. Everything I’ve tried has been amazing, but I 100% recommend the ravioli cacio e pepe ravioli, the fennel salad with shrimp, and the lasagna; all desserts are delicious but my favorite is the ricotta cheesecake, I’ll definitely be coming back.
