For entrées, we ordered the Matador Burger (cooked medium), the flank steak, and the gyro with chicken kabob. Each dish was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The Matador Burger was juicy and well-seasoned, the flank steak was tender and savory, and the gyro with chicken kabob was spot on.
Overall, every plate we tried was a hit. Great flavors, generous portions, and a menu that really captures both Spanish and Mediterranean flair. Definitely a place worth coming back to!
Ordered honey carrots with whipped feta; Mediterranean trio app with marinated beans, chick peas, baba ganoush; shrimp/chorizo dish and the chicken combo plate.
The shrimp//chorizo dish is by far my favorite, rich in flavor. The trio app went really well with the honey carrots,, the combo plate was good – fit well with the theme of choices for the evening – but I would want to try the flank steak.
Food and flavor is above average.
Service is nice and reasonable
Cocktails are worth drinking
My only complaint is that we didn’t order dessert.
The HVAC was out, but the restaurant had heaters placed all throughout the dining room which really helped.
This was our first time here after hearing good things over the years, and we were incredibly impressed. Our Tapas/small plates were fantastic & refreshing. The cuisine here is such a treat & unlikely in a small town like this. We both also enjoyed our entrees. I had ordered the Lamb Gyro with a Turkey Lentil soup & it was very tasty.
The Gyro was stuffed full with veggies, toppings, and sauce- incredibly filling! My soup was rich and flavorful. It was puréed nicely, so it was thick, yet smooth. There weren’t any lumps or any “skins” from the lentils. Really good stuff.
We had a few drinks too. Each one was great- they have an excellent drink selection & a liquor wall that rivals most bars! The drink menu had some seasonal drinks, and a wide variety of offerings from wines and beer, to liquor, as well as non alcoholic cocktails which is a great touch.
The restaurant itself is bright and open. It’s well lit, which makes the dining area feel roomy and vibrant. They make really excellent use of the space & the interior here. It’s not walled off and stuffy with booths and dim lighting, but it’s also not loud and sterile like a cafeteria.
Really a great place to stop in for a quick bite, or to sit down and catch up with an old friend.
The owners are on site and work side by side with the rest of the staff. The balance of high quality food, cocktails and value make it a very enticing regular venue. The food was well beyond my expectations for the prices I paid.
My family and I shared many many dishes and there was not any one particular wow factor, but many many wow factors. Entrees, appetizers, special board, more entrees and even the dessert. I will add to this review later, but I just wanted everyone to know what a fantastic find this place was.
