Had never been and was so excited about the food! My wife and I ordered 4 items. The Chicken Japchae had such good flavor and the Beef Bibimbap was wonderful too. Our favorite of what we ordered was the Squid Bokkeum, every bite was amazing, the sauce was just so good and the squid had such rich flavor itself! My wife doesn’t even like spicy but she still loved it! We also grabbed a simple California Roll and it was delicious, very well balanced We had a lot of leftovers as well, actually!

Thank you!

First time dining here. I’m vegan, my daughters aren’t. It’s very rare that we have a place to eat where I’m just as satisfied with my meal as they are. Oshio is FABULOUS! Every single bite of my food was glorious. I had the tofu teriyaki and the tofu was crispy and well breaded, the salad was to die for, bamboo shoots and eggplant sides and the rice! Oh the rice . Appetizers were all fantastic and my daughters loved the Korean fried chicken. I live here in Chico and am now a new regular of Oshio. Well done and thank you.

This one of the best restaurants in Chico. I’ve been in Chico for many years, following Kim from Broadway St to the food truck and now to their Main St location. Their food is truly delicious. The added sushi rolls recently. I look forward to more new dishes in the future. What I love even more is their facility – it’s incredibly clean, from the transparent kitchen to the dining area, and even the restroom is spotless.

I was surprised that the food was pretty authentic in flavor. It wasn’t Korean fushion. It is cafeteria style where you order at the counter and they bring the food out. The soondubu hit the spot after a long trip from Oregon. A couple of improvements. The rice was served on a plate with the other banchan–side dishes. This is not traditional, and the amount was rice was very small. The rice wasn’t cooked to perfection either, so this is an area of improvement. We were a party of 9 and some dishes came out faster than others so some of us were done by the time the other foods came. They also didn’t really know what kind of utensils were needed for which foods. For example we were given only chopsticks for bibimbap when a spoon was required. They accidentally burned their last serving of sesame chicken, so one of the people in our party had to order something else. He paid the difference, but it should have been comped. The place was warm and a fan was running, which isn’t so great in 100-degree weather. The other negative is that the two spouses were arguing and fighting. If you aren’t Korean, it probably wouldn’t bother you, but we understood everything that was said. I would come back if I’m in the area again despite all that was mentioned.

The food was delicious, and came very quickly. Would definitely recommend the Dolsot Bibimbap (Stone bowl bibimbap). It was decadent!

This staff is very rude. Please go somewhere else and support businesses and communities that don’t discriminate. I have a service dog for a non-visible disability. I gave her my doctor’s note and she basically said I don’t believe so and told me to tell him to sit. I did and he sat and she said no. And I’m like do you want to call my doctor. And she is very uneducated about the questions you are able to ask. I even gave those answers to her. Very very discriminatory and unethical. I will follow up with ADA.

Fantastic korean food. Yes, average of $15-$20 a dish might turn some people away but for authentic Korean food, it was worth it.

All the food was good, especiqlly the Japchae.
Jjajangmyeon was good but tasted similar to what I buy at Asian store for instant ones.

Will come again to try different things.

Honestly, the food is great. But they will scam you with the prices and portions shrunk. The menu prices are pricy, but lower than what they charge at checkout (actual charges and taxes). Also, if you order from doordash and there’s a deal, expect it to be skimpy.
