Ordering is simple – each set comes with broth, a veggie platter, udon, and rice. We chose the kombu broth, which was light and perfect for highlighting the meat. The dipping sauces were Ponzu (refreshing and tangy) and Goma (nutty, sesame-peanut flavor) – both were great and not heavy at all. I also really liked that they use a full-sized hotpot instead of those tiny individual ones, makes it feel much more like a real hotpot meal.
For meats:
• The Certified All Natural Angus Prime Beef with fish cake and Australian lamb – lamb was tender without any gaminess, and the fish cake soaked up the broth really well.
• The Certified All Natural Vintage Prime Rib Eye plus an extra Choice Rib Eye – rich marbling, super flavorful, very satisfying!
We also got two appetizers: Garlic Edamame (so addictive!) and Takoyaki (crispy outside, with bits of octopus inside – best when eaten hot).
The staff were really friendly and attentive. By lunchtime the place was nearly full, so there’s definitely a nice lively vibe. Overall, the ingredients were fresh, the service was great, and finishing the meal with udon noodles in the broth was the perfect ending.
Came for weekend lunch — busy but worth it.
Miso broth was super flavorful (try the spicy one if you like heat!). My kid loved the tomato broth — surprisingly rich and tasty.
Great meat options — multiple cuts of beef, plus lamb, chicken & seafood. Each set comes with rice + a big veggie plate
Perfect for chilly days — warm, delicious & great value!
High-quality beef, fresh veggies, and tasty broth. The sesame dipping sauce was my favorite. Clean, friendly, and perfect for a cozy meal. Highly recommend!
We tried the sukiyaki and tomato broths with beef and seafood. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Also got the soft-shell crab and fried calamari — both were crispy and satisfying.
Portions are just right, the food feels healthy but filling, and the setting is casual and clean. Definitely a great option if you live or work nearby
✨ Atmosphere & Service
The place is super clean, cozy, and welcoming.
Parking is easy, and the staff always greet you with warm smiles. They constantly check in to make sure you’re taken care of, and they’re more than happy to switch your broth if you’re not satisfied.
✨ Must-Try Recommendations
Vintage Prime Beef – beautiful marbling, melts in your mouth!
Tomato broth – my #1 pick! The Spicy Miso broth isn’t really spicy but has a mild, savory taste.
Happy Hour deals – great value!
The beef here is truly special – no matter which cut you order, it stays tender and juicy even after a few minutes in the pot. The broth is flavorful enough on its own, but dipping sauces take it to the next level. I especially loved the sesame sauce with crushed sesame seeds on top – so fragrant!
✨ Great for everyone
This spot is perfect for date nights, small gatherings, or even dining solo (I saw several people enjoying hotpot on their own). They also have lunch specials and weekday deals that are very affordable.
✨ Our Favorites (ranked)
Australian Lamb
Certified All Natural Vintage Prime Rib Eye
Certified All Natural Angus Prime Beef
Certified All Natural Choice Rib Eye
For dessert: Strawberry Mochi ice cream – the perfect sweet ending!
✨ Broth Ranking: Tomato > Spicy Miso > Spicy Tomato. I personally didn’t like Konbu (too plain) and Sukiyaki (too sweet), but the staff happily switched broths when I asked.
Overall, one of the BEST shabu shabu spots in LA. Affordable, consistent, and always an amazing experience! Highly recommended!
