I enjoyed everything about this little restaurant. The staff was friendly, the place was very clean, and the cooks were very nice.
We ended up ordering the carne asada nachos, and the surf & turf nachos. Both were absolutely delicious. My only issue was that I wish the included beans on the surf & turf. All it had was the steak, shrimp and sauteed pico.
I will have to say I don’t think you’ll find anything here that is bad at all. The daily specials are really good as well.

This place rode into our sleepy little town like a gunslinger at high noon and has been cleaning up ever since. Fresh food, good service, reasonable prices, and portions that do not insult you. Taco Tuesday street tacos are the real deal, and the roasted pepper they serve alongside is not decorative. It is a warning. Respect it.
The salsa bar deserves its own mention. Abundant, fresh, and well thought out. Pickled carrots, fresh cucumbers, and a lineup of salsas that cover every heat level. From “flavor first” to “questioning your life choices.” It is the kind of salsa bar that quietly tells you they know what they are doing.
Everything we have tried so far has been excellent. The place is clean, the staff knows what they are doing, and the daily specials give you a reason to keep coming back.
To the owners: You made the right call coming here.
To the locals: Saddle up. This should now be a regular stop.
That roasted pepper? Consider it the kill shot.

This place is amazing. Great food and service. I rarely like most Mexican restaurants but this place is a must eat.

The price is cheaper than Filibertos but it’s the exact same food as the other multiple Mexican restaurants in Payson. Good portion size , similar to others.
However my food was not at the proper temperature when I received it. The food was inedible!

I’ve visited 4 times since Oscar’s has opened. I ordered California Burritos 2 out of the 4 visits. I was happy with the first Cali, the fries were actually crispy in the burrito and you can taste the texture difference. The second one I received the fries had hardly been cooked, some were mildly cold. Cold/Soggy fries ruin a good California burrito it turns it into a breakfast steak burrito without eggs. Hopefully they have some consistency as they settle in. Salsa is good and the Al Pastor is flavored well. Going to try their carne asada fries on my next visit. Hopefully they don’t come out cold and soggy!

On the advice of One of their repeat customers, I chose to get the Wednesday special fish tacos. They were incredible. The best fish tacos I’ve ever eaten. I absolutely would recommend this restaurant. It is our new favorite

My new go to stop in Payson! Everything we ordered was delicious. Service was excellent. I live in the valley and just might make the drive to eat some great Mexican food in the near future.

8oz refried beans , dry and bean shell/skins too much unpleasant texture. Rice BLAND, salsa extra hot or no heat. New here and maybe adjusting. Staff is incredible.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in town, and there is a LOT of competition too! Prices aren’t too bad and they have a drive through which is really convenient:)
