I was served by Abigail pictured on theorist with her manager Maria (Maru). The service was great, the place was very clean with a comfortable atmospheres. Great to have a small business lunch or dinner meeting. Family friendly with lots of kids choices. My Cod Fish Dinner was good. I was a bit strange craving mashed potatoes and gravy. Of course all my posts are highly recommended. There is something good for everyone including a full bar. This is a favorite spot among locals!

Remy and Brandon deserve ten stars for their A+ service!! My wife and I were traveling through Waseca as part of our quest to all 856 of Minnesota’s incorporated cities this year, and Oscar’s caught our eye because of its extensive menu (see the pics)!
Highly recommended the new bourbon chicken dish (they’re always adding new foods) and the supreme potato with steak. Everything came out fast and fresh. Remy and Brandon were flyin’ around the restaurant trying to keep everybody happy. They were super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.
Eat at Oscar’s if you’re ever in Waseca! You won’t regret it!

We went out for Sunday supper. Being new to Waseca, we headed to Google for suggestions. Oscar’s was 2nd on the list. So away we went. I’m a sucker for a good salad bar!! I had a California burger, fries and the salad bar. Dorian had the southwest Philly sandwich and onion rings. I also had a strawberry margarita.
The burger was….. a little lacking.. maybe freshness, maybe flavor…. but it was … ok.. the fries were okay. The salad bar was … okay. But they did have dried cranberries which always put a smile on my face.
The strawberry margarita was DELICIOUS! Dorian said could definitely taste the “southwest” in the sandwich. Said it was good, he said the onion rings were really good. Nowadays we realize going out to eat, comes with a “more than usual” price but I wasn’t expecting $50 for what we ordered. The waiter was very nice, attentive but not overbearing and very friendly. We will definitely go back and try other items, maybe we’ll try one of the delicious looking desserts next time…

I had a flashback to childhood when I entered the restaurant. Something about the aroma was nostalgic — in a good way. I ordered a BLT and it was excellent. My only complaint is that a little cup of sauce came with my meal perched on the edge of my plate and it almost immediately fell in my lap. It was the consistency of mayonnaise and I still haven’t gotten the stains out of my clothes. I will return to try more menu items since the food was so good.

First and foremost, just go here and eat. The food was as good as almost any diner that I have gone to in all my travels. My son and I shared the cod sandwich with steamed broccoli, the Oscar burger with potato rounds, appetizer of onion rings and homemade cheesecake for desert. The onion rings were excellent. There was no greasiness to them and no oily taste like when you overuse the oil. The batter was just right amount and the rings were crunchy with a good inion flavor from the actual onions. Who hates to get onions rings only to have no onion inside? The cod sandwich was fried perfectly with no oily or greasiness to it. The bun was soft and the veggies on top were crisp. The steamed broccoli was perfectly steamed with a bit of crunch left in it and lightly drizzled with butter. The potato rounds were crispy on the outside while still being soft and potatoey on the inside. The burger was about the only real small letdown in the whole meal as the meat was good, well cooked but under seasoned with no apparent seasoning at all, however, with the quality of the meat, the crispness of the veggies, it still made for a good burger. Now for the two stars of the day, the house dipping sauce is off the charts awesome with just the right consistency for sticking to the rings and rounds without being globby. The flavor was unlike most anything you would find in a restaurant but very tasty. As good as the dipping sauce was, it was blown away by the cheesecake. And being a lover of cheesecake, I have yet to find this good of a cheesecake anywhere outside of my own. It is a true style cheesecake and not some box mix whipped up facsimile of what someone thought would pass for cheesecake. This is a place that my son and I vowed to go out of our way to visit whenever we are any where near here. I would highly recommend this place to anyone as the menu has something for everyone, the people are nice and checked on us just the right amount, not being overly pushy and not being overly absent. Go here to eat if you are near.

Went here earlier today and was highly dissapointed. I haven’t been to Oscar’s in about 6 years because all I had were bad experiences, today I went to lunch and it was also a bad experience. The food was almost inedible. I’ve never had a worse strawberry lemonade, it was watered down and tasted like it was just made with the fountain pink lemonade they have, barely any real strawberries either. The salad bar was unimpressive compared to other establishments. My rice was undercooked and hard, and my potato was overcooked and super dry. My boyfriend got a steak that looked like a cartoon steak, it looked like the lines were painted on. He also got it well done when asked for it medium rare, so he had to send it back, which he said he hasn’t done at a restaurant in over 10 years. The service was ok, our waitress was decent until my boyfriend sent the steak back, then she stopped coming to our table compared to the other tables she was serving. For how bad it was, the price was ridiculous for what we paid, and the suggested tip was way too much for the food and service we recieved. All in all another horrible experience at Oscar’s.

We were out adventuring and ended up hungry in Waseca so we googled restaurants and Oscars was the first one to pop up. It looked good so we stopped.
I’m so glad we did!!
We were seated within a minute, served quickly and efficiently, and the food was so good!
Amy, our server, was a delight. We never lacked for anything we needed for our meal and everything was served with her winning smile.
We will be back!

Me n the boys came here in October of last year 2019 and this is one of thee best burgers I’ve had out here in Minnesota. Originally from California so much different. Place was comfortable and the waitress we had was amazing and very attentive. One order of steak was over cooked and they had no problem remaking the plate . All food was cooked to perfection and very satisfying.

Oscar’s All American Food And Drinks is one of the best, if not the best restaurants you could eat at in Waseca! The food was delicious, and the cheesecake desert was even better! Omg I don’t think I’ve ever had a better slice of cheesecake in my life. The desert was a little pricey but the slice is pretty big so it’s definitely worth it. Only took 20 minuets to receive our food and only 10 more for the desert which we ordered after we finished our meal. The restrooms were updated a d looked very nice. 5/5
Second time around…
Not so good at all. Things started to fall apart very quickly. Other people that wanted a spot to sit didn’t have a table to sit at. Some left, some waited for a spot to be seated at. Pro tip: GET MORE TABLES. Early on I needed a refill and it took 10-15 minuets for any workers to check our table. Wait time for food was 35 minutes which wasn’t bad. The service was awful. At least one of the workers was trying to get things moving and she was even running to get tables served and people fed. Shout out to you, you deserve a raise. Under staffed and not enough tables will turn people away. Also, did I mention the buns were hard, food was cold, and we didn’t have silverware at our table? Well incase I forgot to I did now. 2/5
