Went with a few others. Was seated fast and given a server quick. With the amount of people there at the time I was worried it would take a long time to get our food but they were actually pretty fast for such a big order. Food was great. The bento boxes are pretty big. The sushi rolls were great and presented very professional. Drink cups were rather small but honestly didn’t think much of it. Main thing I didn’t like was that I was a little mislead because it says it’s a hibachi grill but it’s not like other hibachi grills where you sit around the grill and get a chef per group that interacts and cooks for you. Was still good though. Other than that we will definitely go back

I love the food it’s always so delightful and delicious. I’d say the price is worth the quality.
Noodle dishes and soup options are both flavorful and amazing!!
There is take out options- you can walk in and ask for it or even call ahead!

Friday night, and it was super chill. The service was excellent and presentation was amazing. We were seated and had drinks very quickly. The meal was brought very quickly and was delicious. Thank you.

Food was pretty good. I probably won’t come here again, and I won’t be ordering the fried ice-cream.
Sushi was okay. Not my favorite, but it was fresh.

Entrance is a little confusing and bathrooms were HORRIBLE.
Didn’t seem like the front desk or entrance area matched the serving area. The tables were nice and everything felt very fancy and professional, but the entrance is trashy and looks like a Chinese take out place. The front desk is unorganized and unprofessional.
I am always picky about where I order raw meat and I felt confident in this place at first, but then I went to the bathroom and was concerned. If this is how they keep the bathroom, I’d hate to see their kitchen area.

One of, if not the best restaurants in Hays. In the multiple times I’ve eaten here I’ve never had a bad meal, experience, or service.
Some restaurants stop offering refills when they see you’re about done with the food, or give you the check to rush you out the door. The staff at Osaki let you take your time and enjoy your meal.
The food here is better than I have had in larger cities like Denver or Kansas City. While I am still on the hunt for the best sushi in Kansas City, they all have to compete with Osaki in Hays, Kansas.

I love Osaki. Sushi is always fresh and quickly prepared, the menu is varied and very reliably good, service is pleasant, and prices (especially for drinks!) are very reasonable. It’s not a hibachi style restaurant, but always a pleasant place with friends.

The last time I was here they didnt bring the rice for our hibachi meal, waited months and decided to try again today.
It felt like we were walking into a library there was no music or noise in the atmosphere that all the customers were whispering or else their conversation was heard by everyone.
The sodas were flat, and the sushi roll had barely any rice
I dont know what has happened to this place, it used to be great but sadly I feel this is the last time I eat here. So disappointed.

One thing that we Americans tend to overlook is that Japanese restaurants often serve many of the same dishes we have come to love from Chinese and Thai restaurants. This is especially true when it comes to ramens and other noodle dishes, not to mention sushi. For that reason I chose Osaki Japanese for my evening meal not long ago when visited Hays.
I was happy to find it uncrowded that Friday night, not alarmingly empty so as to cause you to ponder your decision, nut rather in an assuring kind of way that this will be an enjoyable meal served in a timely fashion.
And I was right.
I ordered their Udon noodles with vegetables, a generous plateful of noodles as well as broccoli, green peppers, carrots and other veggies. It was the perfect amount, not so much as to necessitate a nap, and not so little as to leave me hungering for more.
The best part was that from the time I placed my order to when I was served my meal, only five minutes elapsed. That in itself is amazing, especially given that Friday nights can be rough on diners wanting to be fed without delay. It was superbly delicious, and I left any a shred of noodle as evidence that I had even been there. The hot green tea was the perfect quaff to wash it all down.
Yes, I would return! This is good food.
