HANDS DOWN, THE BEST SUSHI RESTAURANT I’VE EVER BEEN TO – NO JOKE!! Just moved to Shelton from L.A. and loving it here so far, except, to be honest, I was having a hard time finding any good restaurants until someone recommended Osaka for sushi, which is one of my favorite foods. I was a bit skeptical because Shelton is a last place I expected to find a quality sushi restaurant, but I was so wrong. The food there is superb. The fish is super fresh and they make all their sauces from scratch. Every dish I had, they made it their own and unlike nothing I’ve ever had. The staff is very friendly, especially “Gee,” my waitress. She’s awesome!! She looks like a beautiful Geisha doll and she’s an absolute sweetheart. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. I’m so happy I found this little gem of a restaurant in my neighborhood. I will definitely a frequent diner here. Highly, highly recommended.

Their prices are very decent, serving sizes are large, customer service is great, and their food is amazing!! I love getting the tempura California roll and the terriyaki tofu lunch/dinner.
The owner and the employees are all very friendly and will actually have a conversation with you. They’re not there just to take your order.
I tell everyone about this place, just wish it wasn’t so far from Mccleary!

Had high hopes from reading previous reviews, and always wanted to try this place. Unfortunately, I’m still not sure what the food tastes like.
Seated quickly enough. As there was only one group and one other individual customer, that went well. The busser took drink orders and returned promptly. Tried to order an appetizer, but was told we would have to wait for the server to place that order.
So we waited. And waited some more. After approximately 5 minutes, I started a timer. When the timer hit 5 minutes, I placed money on the counter for our drinks and stood up to leave. Finally, the server attempts to acknowledge our existence. Granted she looked busy doing some prep and talking to the individual customer at the counter, but to be ignored for that long does not sit well with me.
I may never know if the food is as good as others say it is.

Excellent Food at a reasonable price. Highly recommend the Shrimp Ramen. Also shared a Maki Spider Roll. Everything was great. Decent service for only two servers running around. I’m from out of town unfortunately, otherwise I would definitely be coming back.

We were on our Christmas vacation and I did some search for a dinner and found this restaurant which has very good reviews. When we got there, only 4~5 tables were occupied, but they said they didn’t have big table for us, so we had to sit on two separate tables. (4 adults and 3 kids)
We ordered food at around 5:20 pm but the lady who looked like the owner was busy with chatting with other customers.
After waiting for about 20 minites, waitress served ONE salad dish for the two tables.
We asked her some straws for kids and she brought them after 15 minutes and the paper packing was WET and it got stuck on the straws. Couldn’t use them!
She even served two bowls of udon on one table even though they were one bowl for each table and she definitely knew about it. I had to move the bowl to the other table.
We ordered food at the same time for both tables and one plate of sushi came out 50 minutes after order, the other came out 80 minites after order.
Food was not good at all even we were very very hungry after an hour and 20 minutes waiting.
Both roll and sushi had too much rice on them, and they even had black rice in it.
I don’t think this lady know what sushi is….so sad.

The service is super friendly, and the food is amazing. Best Asian in town. The sushi is top notch, and chirashi donburi one of my favorites because the sashimi is never “fishy” smelling. Their fried rice and yakisoba is full of fresh veggies. They have great ramen and udon soups as well.

I just left after sitting for more than an hour waiting for my avocado roll. When asked about the roll I was told it was just being made as I was leaving. People who came in after and had ordered hot dishes received their meals within fifteen minutes. If a restaurant can’t handle making a simple order in an orderly time while they aren’t busy doesn’t deserve my patronage. To top it off, the waitress was rude and the overall service was very unprofessional.

Delicious food, friendly waitress! Their bento boxes offer a variety of treats that can easily be shared amongst two people, their udon bowls are very filling, and their sushi is very fresh and flavorful. My friend and I also really like their tempura, mochi icecream, and stuffed mushrooms.
