We have been coming to Osaka for years. The last couple times we have ate there the food was not as good. Tonight we ate there for my husband’s birthday. When we walked in the place was hotter than it was outside, and it was 92 degrees outside. We decided to stay and just deal with the heat. While sitting, we noticed how hot the grill was. It was almost as if we were sitting next to a fire.

Both people in our party who ate the salmon were ill within 30 minutes. Notified the restaurant and they had no interest in hearing my concerns. As a physician, I am pretty familiar with food borne illness. Since the restaurant is not concerned, I felt it necessary to provide a review so that you can decide for yourself.

This family-oriented restaurant is set in a comfortable setting. Hibachi chefs prepare food at tableside For Your Entertainment and dining pleasure. Also accompanied by a large sushi bar. Great selection of wines and assorted beverages including hot sake. Prices are very reasonable and affordable. If you live in the area, definitely check it out. Plenty of repeat customers on the visits that I’ve been there. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Great job!

Waited over an hour after we were seated for our chef to arrive. Grill was not working properly so they moved us and that one didn’t work either. We left at that point without ever getting our food

We have been here numerous times and have always found this restaurant to be more than just satisfactory. On our most recent visit the first observation was the lengthy waiting to even be greeted, much less our request for hibachi seating. Clearly the place is understaffed. That’s forgivable but beyond the service being very slow, the food was terrible. I dare say the sushi we ordered as an appetizer with our drinks was even comparable to that found at the end of the day in a grocery store. I had the salmon, scallops, and shrimp hibachi entree and I spent the next 12 hours worrying about becoming ill. The salmon was gross and the scallops were slimy. It’s the first time I have ever chosen to not finish a hibachi meal from anywhere. To conclude, we and the others at our table waited so long for checks that one of the diners started cursing angrily (inexcusable, and to no avail). I’m giving two stars because the drinks were cold.

The food here was delicious and fresh. The Sushi, Hibachi, Bento Box and service was excellent! Local friends brought us here but this was definitely a favorite place to eat when visiting Dahlonega, Dawsonville area.
