Osaka Sushi and Hibachi is one of those rare places that does everything right.
The service is genuinely attentive without being intrusive — you’re checked on, taken care of, and never forgotten. A huge plus is the full bar, which makes it perfect whether you’re coming for dinner, drinks, or both.
The food is where they really shine. The menu is extensive, but unlike many places with big menus, quality is not sacrificed at all. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. Sushi is clean and fresh, hibachi dishes are delicious, and prices are very reasonable for the quality you’re getting — honestly a great value.
To be fair, a couple of small hiccups: we’ve been served by the same server twice and she never introduced herself, and one appetizer was missed. That said, the missing appetizer was not charged, which speaks to their honesty and professionalism.
A special shout-out to the owner, Su — she is incredibly warm and attentive, always walking the floor and checking on guests. You can tell she truly cares about the experience and it shows in every detail.
On top of all that, the style, atmosphere, and overall vibe of the restaurant are fantastic — modern, comfortable, and lively without being overwhelming.
Highly recommend. This place easily earns repeat visits.

Really nice place with good food and nice service.

The portion sizes are big and well priced for what you get. The miso soup was really nice and the seaweed salad was delicious. I really like that they have Sapporo and kirin on tap (it’s a nice touch that is delicious).

The sushi is well made and tasty. They have pages on top of pages for raw and cooked sushi rolls, specials and the classic rolls – it’s almost overwhelming to order but it’s really good.

Service was efficient and nice. They even gave me a dessert on the house just out of kindness. Really nice people in there with good food!

This place is so unassuming from the outside. But when you walk in you ate greeted with a warm smile and a BEAUTIFUL space. You can tell a lot of time and attention was put into crafting this small space into an uplifted luxury experience. Every detail has been thought through and it shows. Even down to the chairs. I know it’s random. But it’s important and they are so comfortable!

In the couple of times we have come in the service has been warm and attentive and one of the greatest things I appreciate is not feeling rushed but instead almost encouraged to stay and enjoy the food and atmosphere.

Now the food. HOLY. COW. OUTSTANDING! Just like the space you can tell so much effort and detail has gone into their incredibly expansive menu. Our past visit I was able to try the hibachi and it was better than most places I’ve been in the area. The real love for us though is the sushi they have everything your heart could desire with sushi. So many unique rolls and so many of the classics done incredibly well. Our favorites are the Rockin Yellowtail roll and the Queens roll. But every single roll we’ve tried so far has been great. Those are just or favorites. They have a great beer selection for a small place with both Sapporo and kirin on drafts sticking to the theme. The cocktail menu is also unique with some great choices.

In all as people that eat out frequently this establishment is quickly becoming a go to for us! Give it a try, I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Osaka was a great spot for sushi! The rolls were delicious, and the poke bowl was really fresh and flavorful. The place got packed while being there and seemed a bit understaffed, so the food took a little while to come out, but it was definitely worth the wait. Overall, great food and nice atmosphere!

Great restaurant and the ambiance is fantastic! The owner and her family, along with the staff, do a great job of making you feel at home & wanting to come back. We always get the steak hibachi and a thunder roll & you can’t go wrong with that. Hands down one of the best sushi spots in LexKy.

A friend and I were in Lexington for a concert. We couldn’t decide what to do for dinner, and happened across Osaka. Beautiful atmosphere, inside. Attentive, friendly service. Extensive menu. Everything tasted amazing. From the sushi to the hibachi steak.

Definitely recommend!

Osaka in Lexington is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by a stunning atmosphere that’s both elegant and inviting. The service is outstanding—friendly, attentive, and professional.

The food is simply incredible. Every dish is beautifully presented and packed with fresh, delicious flavors. The sushi is some of the best I’ve ever had, with creative rolls and perfectly balanced ingredients.

One of the highlights is their fantastic happy hour, offering great deals on both drinks and food. It’s the perfect time to indulge without breaking the bank. Whether you’re a sushi lover or new to Japanese cuisine, Osaka is a must-visit. Highly recommend for a special night out, a casual meal, or happy hour with friends!

We have been coming to Osaka (at their original location) for YEARS. We were so excited to try the new location! They never miss a beat! The staff is the nicest and so consistent! The atmosphere is luxurious but without the steep dining cost you get from other fine dining restaurants. The food is truly the best and has never deviated from being the best. My personal favorite appetizers are the gyoza and harumaki, and their hibachi steak is absolute perfection! I am so happy to see my favorite restaurant grow!
