Went for lunch (£38.5 per person). The restaurant is in a very convenient city centre location, which makes it easy to access.
The dining system allows 2 hours in total, with 7-minute rounds and up to 3 dishes per round. I stayed for about 1 hour and 20 minutes, which felt just right. Service throughout was very good — staff were friendly and attentive, and there were no unexpected charges on the bill.
In terms of food, there are a few details that could be improved. Wasabi and pickled ginger were provided on the table, but the wasabi had almost no flavour. Considering how important condiments are for sushi, a bit more attention here would make a difference.
The Sashimi selection seemed to be previously frozen, as it was noticeably cold when served. The salmon sashimi was probably the best of the dishes I tried.
Most dishes came in small plates, which worked well for the format, but the fried noodles arrived in a much larger portion than everything else, which felt slightly inconsistent. The flavour was fairly average. Dessert was simple — whipped cream with a scoop of ice cream.
Overall, I think it’s worth trying once, especially for the location and service. However, at £38.5, I do feel there is room to refine some of the details. In the UK, similar Japanese food experiences can often be found for around £25.

Lovely sushi and sashimi with quick service. If you go for buffet option, you are given a tablet and each person can order 3 dishes every 7 minutes for a max 2 hour stay. The dishes came out quickly and we ordered non stop. I think we managed to max-out our quota. The food was noticeably well presented too. Overall, a brilliant experience.

Now let’s talk about atmosphere, i really like the atmosphere of it. And talking about the food I choose chicken dumplings which was really good, and I choose pork ramen with pork broth. Talking about pork ramen it was really good taste with umami taste. I really appreciate the food and the staff members were also kind and cheerful.
I really recommend to people who would like to try Japanese cuisine please do visit and taste the food of Osaka Japanese Restaurant. Here are some pictures that I took. I would like to recommend take some white wine or Japanese wine to try drinks and food to be paired well .

Good value and plenty of options. Service could have been a bit quicker and a couple of dishes didn’t quite hit the spot. That could have just been me though. Did not really the electronic menu system and having to share one. Centrally located and easy to get to. Still recommended.

This Japanese restaurant is a solid spot for casual Japanese food. We had dinner here for my birthday & NYE and i can definitely say it was a good choice. The sushi is fresh and well-presented, portions are generous, and the menu has plenty of variety—from classic rolls, bento meals and comforting hot dishes. Service was quick and staff were friendly. Prices are reasonable for the quality. Not so fancy, but reliable and satisfying if you’re craving Japanese food.

We discovered a hidden gem! The staff kindly reminded us that our dining time would be shorter since they were closing early, but it was no problem — we still had plenty of time to order, the dishes came quickly, and the food was fresh. The sashimi platters we ordered were beautifully presented, and the staff were polite.

Reasons
Very cold downstairs, was made to wait a good 10-15 minutes despite the table being booked for my birthday.
The sushi was underwhelming, didn’t taste fresh and it was overall a disappointing menu. We tried so many dishes to share and it was all pretty dull, not fresh and very expensive (the three of us costing approximately £120 and we only had water to drink)
It’s a shame because ever since I spotted it (I’m a big Japanese cuisine fan) I was dying to try it. I didn’t take any pics apart from this one because the food wasn’t nice enough to take pictures of.

When in for a quick dinner, I was initially attracted by the varied menu. I was seated quickly by friendly staff. Ordered using an easy to use app on their tablet, had a very good selection and reasonable prices. My food came quickly and was very very good. Highly recommend.

Honestly, I can’t understand the reason behind the negative reviews. I visited the restaurant today and had an excellent experience. The service was outstanding — the staff was incredibly attentive. We chose the “all you can eat” option, and it was definitely worth it: the dishes were generous and everything was delicious. The fish was fresh and of great quality. They have an octopus fritter that is amazing! We left extremely satisfied!!! Without a doubt, I’ll be back and will bring more friends next time!
