This is my go-to!! Their crispy Philly is a must! Not only is it perfect but their lunch special makes it such a bang for your buck! I try to keep this place lowkey but decided it deserves some recognition!

Osaka Cuisine in Matthews is, without a doubt, the best hibachi and seafood I’ve had in my 14 years of being here! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is welcoming and vibrant, and the staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. The chefs are true masters of their craft, each hibachi dish is perfectly cooked with amazing flavors and showmanship that makes every meal an experience. The seafood is fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Every visit has exceeded my expectations, and I can’t recommend this place enough to anyone who loves high-quality, flavorful Japanese cuisine.

Very Nice folks. Portions are small for lunch plates. Pink lady and rainbow sushi were tasty. I wish the chicken wouldn’t have been dry, but overall I would eat here again.

Absolute worst “Hibachi” I’ve ever had in my life. Canned mixed vegetables were used in the rice. Canned and overly sweet carrots that were sugary sweet and mushy. Fresh vegetables have snap to them , these were soft and mushy. Peas had that faded green look when they should have a bright green color. Lo-Mein wasn’t fresh at all. Rubbery like rubber bands. Teriyaki sauce was watered down and flavorless !! Soy Sauce couldn’t bring this meal back to life. Tempura Veggies were trash !! Heavy greasy flavor and you call tell they weren’t drained properly. I won’t be going back ever.

Ordered H Steak meal. Steak was overcooked and hard, no seasoning and soaking in access water. I thought at first it was juice but nope it was not. Rice was also bland. Miso soup and onion soup was wonderful

Cannot say I’m pleased. I just picked up an order of the “teriyaki plate” chicken with a side of veggies and steamed rice. The chicken is SO dry and tough I’m forcing myself to eat it, and it is not at *all* coated in any form of teriyaki sauce. What a waste of hopes, time and money.

My 2 stars does not mean the worst sushi place you can go to. It’s more of a last resort for cheap sushi.

Everything was perfectly fine. But it was just fine. The prices are incredibly cheap, which is incredibly enticing, but you’re sacrificing portion sizes for that.

Upon looking at my rolls I found the portion of fish to be huge, but they must cut it in a odd way because when I pulled one a part (more on that later), the fish was way smaller than what the surface area showed.

The ratio of ingredients were off, fish to rice to x. I wanted to taste a bit of fish so I pulled some out of my roll, and that’s how I saw how the sizes were actually tiny.

I also ordered spicy rolls, and they didn’t taste like other spicy rolls I’ve gotten. I just mostly tasted Sriracha.

The venue itself is a bit lackluster as well. It almost feels like the place was a typical southern BBQ joint before they turned it into a sushi place. There’s just no ambiance to it.

The servers and staff were very friendly however!

Overall, I don’t expect the king of sushi to be located in this area, but this was a bit disappointing. I’d recommend trying somewhere else.
