Maybe it would have been different if I hadn’t gotten the food delivered but I ordered the General tso’s sauce with chicken and fried rice with beef. Both absolutely tasted and looked like they had been under a heat lamp for HOURS. The fried rice alone through delivery was like $15?? Was very much looking to try this place out.

Although Osaka’s sushi has the best rice around their attitudes aren’t kind. I came in tonight after ordering their Philadelphia roll with avocado ( spending more online) on DD. Always the best just melts in your mouth. Well I go to the actual restaurant and I greet the lady and she says” You want takeout order?” Then as I’m explaining the extra I wanted on my roll she interrupted me to tell me something I already knew. Other people of color come in and they are greeted kindly. Hmm, I love their sushi and I am a teacher who knows a few other teachers. I would have loved to suggest this place but nah I’m good.

I’ve been coming here for a couple of years, so this is really disappointing to write, but after my most recent visit, I don’t think I’ll be returning.
I usually order Singapore noodles whenever a restaurant offers them since it’s one of my favorite dishes. Unfortunately, what I was served this time was nothing like that. I genuinely don’t know how else to describe it other than it being completely inedible. The smell alone was off-putting, and after taking one bite, I immediately knew something wasn’t right. It honestly tasted the way bad fish smells. I even had a friend try it to make sure it wasn’t just me, and they had the same reaction.
Because I couldn’t eat it, I asked if it could be swapped out for another sushi roll we had already ordered for the table. Instead of understanding, the server immediately gave us attitude and said it wasn’t possible because it was what I ordered and she would have to pay for it.
I’ve worked in food and customer service myself, so I understand mistakes happen and that customers aren’t always right. But this experience felt really unsettling, especially given how strong and unpleasant the smell and taste were. I’m not someone who leaves reviews often, but this was honestly unacceptable.

It’s your typical casual, nothing-fancy, local neighborhood place. I’ve dined in a few times and gotten takeout here many times over the years.
On the plus side the menu is extensive; there’s Chinese and Japanese, and something like 60+ variety of sushi rolls you can order. With that much variety you’re bound to find something you like. Any time I’ve gotten takeout it’s ready on time and easy in and out.
With that said, its not bad but it’s also not anything to write home about. I think the Chinese side of the menu is the stronger half of it; sushi is average.
Overall it’s not bad but there are other places in the area that are at least as good.

Good food, but restaurant smelled rotten
Dishes: Kung Pao Chicken & Tofu Pad Thai
Food was really good. I did get the Kung pao chicken extra spicy, would recommend getting it how it usually comes.
Service was a little absent after we had food, but probably because we were the only ones in there at a weird time so easy to forget.
The restaurant did smell strongly rotten…pretty big issue. Stuck it out and tried the food though.

Does anyone know how to make eggplant in garlic sauce? I gave Osaka a try and it disappointed as unfortunately I thought it would. The eggplant was precooked and the skin on the eggplant was so tough and dark, not the beautiful purple color. I was like what is this, sure enough the skin on the eggplant was uneatable. The pork was very tough, flavor was not there. Not even the white rice was good. I can make it all better myself and that’s what I’ll have to do and I’m not Chinese. Not even the wonton soup was good, tasted awful. Won’t go back, maybe they should stick to sushi. Their portions were small too. Maybe half an or one small eggplant. I should have known because the restaurant was empty. Save your money you will be disappointed to say the least.
