Osaka Hibachi Sushi & Bar is one of the best spots in Frisco! The food is always fresh and flavorful — the sushi tastes clean and the hibachi meals are cooked perfectly every time. The portions are generous, and everything comes out hot and beautifully plated.
The staff are super friendly and attentive, and they make you feel genuinely welcome. The hibachi chefs are fun to watch and make the whole experience enjoyable for families and friends.
The restaurant has a nice vibe — great for a casual dinner, date night, or even a celebration. Prices are fair for the quality and portion size.
Highly recommend Osaka Hibachi Sushi & Bar if you’re craving great sushi, tasty hibachi, and a fun dining experience in Frisco!
My partner and I have given this restaurant several chances. I’d like you to save your money and avoid it for the reasons we will be.
1) They do not care about your time. Whether dining in or ordering carryout online, sushi takes absurdly long to come out. The ballpark of an hour for pretty basic stuff. Drinks take forever, and the “bartenders” couldn’t care less.
2) It’s inconsistent, overpriced, grocery store sushi. There have been times it was “good”, and other’s we’d wished we got (better) grocery store sushi for lower cost. Our last order hit an all time low. BOTH eel roll orders contained mere slivers you would expect from the dollar general market (pic attached). The remainder of the rolls were equally disappointing. The Miso Soup contained a piece of seaweed and almost no tofu. The “spicy edamame” was unpalatably spicy.
3) You can make better drinks at home for a fraction of the cost. Their liquor selection is terrible, and it’s all massively overpriced. They try to charge “premium liquor” prices for mediocre liquor.
4) The management couldn’t care less.
— 4:A) On our first visit, my partner went to the ladies bathroom and was followed in by a man who urinated in there. She raised the issue, and nothing was done. They said nothing to him and allowed him to stay. It also took us an hour to receive our order of sushi rolls that night.
— 4:B) On a recent visit, we put in a pretty basic carryout order consisting of nothing complex – 4 basic rolls, miso soup, edamame, and one order each of sashimi (just a slice of fish) and nigiri (just a slice of fish, but on rice). It took them FIFTY (50) minutes to prepare. My partner waited for over a half hour in the lobby, while being told “just a few more minutes” constantly. When ordering online, they do not provide an estimated pickup time. When she complained to the manager, he had a bad attitude, was not apologetic or accommodating, and made the excuse that this was a “big order” (pic attached) and that they were “really busy” despite the bar and restaurant area being dead.
We tried supporting a local business, and it’s stung us over and over. You’ll experience better value, quality, and service by driving further to a good sushi restaurant.
I high recommend this place.
DO BETTER.
