We made a reservation for 9 people and they were very accommodating. We had a fantastic time, the staff were all super friendly. They have a bar, sushi bar, regular tables and multiple hibachi tables. I’d highly recommend coming. My friends enjoyed the fried ice cream, fried banana foster, I had nibbled and liked them very much

Osaka Sushi and Hibachi in Scranton offers a decent Japanese dining experience, but the atmosphere could use a bit of a refresh. The restaurant feels a little worn down, and a more updated or maintained environment would definitely enhance the overall dining experience.
That said, the sushi itself was tasty, and I particularly enjoyed the chirashi. The fish was fresh, and the portion was generous, making it a satisfying meal. While the ambiance might not be top-notch, the quality of the food compensates for it. If you’re in the area and craving sushi, Osaka is worth a visit, especially if you focus on the food rather than the surroundings.

I’ve been to hibachi all over and this is hands down the best I’ve ever had!!
Amazing service-the owner is ALWAYS there and such a lovely woman.
If you are ever sick please pick up some clear soup as it is one of the best tricks!
The ginger dressing for the salads is also amazing and I pick up some to go with my salad for work!

I love Osaka. They have great sushi, rolls, apps, salads, mochi and cocktails! My family has been going for years. It’s very cozy for us! They also have hibachi.

My clients picked this spot for lunch and they ordered online. I ordered the salmon teriyaki. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and apparently spoke to the wrong person because he basically ignored me. When the lady server came out she greeted me and took my name and payment. Another nice lady came out and said the food would be ready soon. The food came out after about 5 more minutes and the nice lady handed me everything. When I got in I ate and the salmon was ok and so were the vegetables. I had a decent experience.

After being recommended to us several times, we decided to check out Osaka tonight.
The food was good, but where Osaka really shined was its staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Cindy, the bartender, was an absolute delight!

Awesome all around. Great prices and food almost always spot on. Tasty flavorful and chefs usually entertaining. Salad dressing I have to bring a pint home every time. This review is for Hibachi. Can’t speak on sushi as I don’t care for it. Although 30 years ago I had my first taste right here. This particular visit wasn’t as good as it was a new chef but still tasted good. Filet was overcooked a bit but he was spot on with the rest of the table
