Osaka-

There was a couple of things I didn’t like from the establishment.
1) The fried wonton were stale as if they’ve been sitting out all day taste more like onions than anything else, in my opinion not worth the $10.
2) Small portions and the chicken did not seem fresh at all
3) They didn’t ask about allergies. I’m allergic to shrimp and other people ordered that and everything was getting cooked by each other.
4) They offered to bring an ice bucket for our wine since it’s byob but they never brought out the ice.
5) One staff was trying to be funny by staring at my “chest” repeatedly. Made it real obvious too.
6) I don’t know if the other staff did it on purpose or not but he kept making my husband repeat what he said (my husband is Hispanic with an accent but he can be understood well) I know someone maybe might struggle sometimes to understand him but it was the way he approached it which made me uncomfortable.
7) Our chef did the absolute minimum too. I felt there was some energy lacking.

Osaka was a fun spot for hibachi with a group-the food was decent, but the highlight was definitely our chef. He was entertaining, funny, and made the whole table laugh.
The portions could’ve been a bit larger, (Rice/Veggies) especially for the price (around $30 a meal), as I expected to leave with leftovers.
The edamame was really good and worth ordering again. Overall, a solid experience- I’d come back, but not rushing back.

I normally go to Osaka for their hibachi, which I love. I went and had their sushi. I never had sushi and stepped out of my comfort zone and had raw fish. I loved it!! The love boat was delicious. I never imagined I would eat raw fish but I actually enjoyed it and it filled me up. I highly recommend going to Osaka for hibachi and sushi

My friends and I went to celebrate the New Year. As with most hibachi places, it was festive and there were several families with children celebrating as well. The food of course was cooked fresh before us and was just as ordered with sensitivity to a shellfish allergy. Great place to eat with a group!

The food here isn’t extraordinary, but it’s fine. We ate at the hibachi. Our chef was awesome, and for the level of entertainment, especially for our 5 year old, was perfect. I give it four stars because based on what we expected, it was great. I don’t judge every restaurant or product against all others across the board, but rather adjust for expectations at price level.

We went for hibachi to celebrate a birthday and my kids had heard how fun hibachi can be. Key word “can be”. It really depends on your chef. Ours did the absolute minimum for entertainment and engagement (which is why anyone would pay that much for mediocre food, right?). The fried rice was bland. The shrimp and steak was decent with the short rib being the tastiest. The birthday music was relentless as there were numerous celebrants. Overall I would easily pass on here again. Not worth the money, lack of flavor, and overall atmosphere.

Always great and fresh! Service is extremely good. And with the choices of sushi and or hibachi at a booth or table it’s also extremely convenient. Our waitress Jolene is
the best!

Sushi in Collingswood is a delight with Jolene! She is an absolute expert in the cuisine with years of experience but is your quintessential and consummate China Doll in the classical sense. Right out of a James Bond movie! And Osaka provides the culinary selection to match her beauty!

Our favorite is the Pink Lady Roll; comprised of 10 luscious and delectable segments to dip in soy or yum yum sauce with a pinch of wasabi and/or ginger. Everything we ever tried there is excellent in quality, taste and freshness.

Camden County’s choice is Osaka. And don’t forget the Hibachi grill for a performance par excellence!

Another great restaurant for Asian fusion!

Had the kids with us so decided to take them to check out dinner and a show. Hibachi was it and Osaka was the perfect place. The food was great and the show was a lot of fun for the kids. There were a lot of kids in the hibachi area so perfect side to let’s the kids eat and enjoy themselves.

My family of four did the hibachi dinner for four ($110) and chose the shrimp, chicken, and short rib. My wife also picked out a sushi roll. (The sushi roll was really good so maybe next time we go back and get sushi.). First the chef was fun. A little bit of banter and put on a little show for the kids. Lots of dancing spatulas and some fireworks. The chicken was eh (don’t need to order that next time), the shrimp was good, but the rib eye was fantastic: tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The vegetables and fried rice are pretty much hibachi staples and were good too. The service was impeccable; multiple people came back to check if we could use or needed anything else and my water cup was always full. Of note- drink received an NA because Collingswood is a dry town (yuck hahaha). So no cocktails with dinner but everything else was great. Definitely recommend esp to people with kids.

Osaka is hands-down my go-to sushi spot. We’re here at least once a month, sometimes as often as four times! I’ve never had a bad dish, even when trying something new. We often bring friends with us, and everyone loves it. I love that it’s BYOB, but their green tea is so good, I often stick with that. The desserts are also fantastic—my favorites are the fried banana with ice cream and the exotic Bamba. The Osaka roll and sashimi deluxe are my usual orders, and I always get the octopus sashimi on-site. This place is unbeatable for sushi!
