Split the New York breakfast bagel with my sister. Loved the bagel toasted, the generous spread of cream cheese, and the lemon zest really brightens up the whole thing.

We went mid morning, around 10am. There was a short line inside, but the majority were people grabbing food and heading back out.

Food is great and the atmosphere is welcoming and chill, especially with the cool photos and artwork on the walls, but I do personally prefer a place more sit-down friendly like a study cafe. Nothing wrong with this location and there is some seating, but it’s just not my preference.

Located in Roslyn Heights, the new Orwashers location evoked memories of my frequent visits to their farmers market booth. The enticing variety of breads and pastries delighted me, and I was thrilled to discover a diverse selection of mouthwatering sandwiches, bagels with lox, and delectable donuts.

Among their offerings, the famous lox bagel stood out as the best I’ve ever had. Their top-notch sourdough and Swiss health sliced breads were equally delightful. The bakery was clean, and the friendly, attentive service added to the overall wonderful experience.

For all the food enthusiasts in Roslyn Heights, this haven of deliciousness is a must-visit! The addition of new items, such as sandwiches and enticing donuts, makes it even more compelling. I’m eagerly looking forward to my next visit to Orwashers, and if you’re in the area and love delightful bread and pastries, I wholeheartedly recommend checking out this new location.

Standard bakery/cafe. It was a little expensive when compared to similar places in the area. Slow service considering there were only 2 customers and 4 staff working. The onion pocket was very nice. Overall, nothing special but has some unique bakery and bread items.

Got the turkey sandwich, and it was $14. In my opinion this is way overpriced for the size of it. It should be around $8 I think or under. For me each half was about 3 bites.

The bread I got it on though was very soft and warm which is why it gets some stars but come on 14$ for this size.

I could probably eat 3 or 4 of these but that would cost me 60$

The sandwich is honestly more of a mini sandwich, and that’s not good. In NY we like everything BIG.

They better change something here because I ain’t coming back.

Centercuts just down the street has BIG heroes for the same price.

I’d even go to subway for a sandwich than this place, but it’s in a great location.

A lot of human traffic so people just come in and don’t care about the food or prices I guess.

It needs more quality though for sure.

Cheers!

I came early in the morning off a whim; I was charging my Tesla and the belly was rumbling. The bacon egg and cheese was soooo good! It’s SLAPPED! Shoutout to the employees warm welcome. A little pricey coming from someone that lives in the hood but that taste of egg white and the soft roll …. OOOUUUUU BABBBYYY!! Definitely recommend and I’ll be going back every time I charge my Tesla!

My brother comes here all the time and literally gets the same croissant every time. He came back today and told the manager would not give him a refund on the wrong one and now we will dispute the transaction. My whole family is boycotting your company because you guys are total ripoffs!

Orwashers New York’s Original Artisan Bakery is an instant success for Roslyn and all of Long Island filling a niche for a fresh delicious bakery/cafe that’s been missing forever and the customers are coming in all day long from all over the island.
Keith Cohen has hit it out of the park with this outpost of the NYC institution that’s over a century old. These are old world recipes and they’re probably better than ever.
Artisan Bread, cakes, cookies and pastries. Sandwich’s, coffee, tea and my personal favorites like Onion Pockets, Focaccia and Challah. But there’s so many other options that could be favorites too. Don’t sleep on the great Chicken Noodle Soup that comes with a half a loaf of Sourdough bread. It’s really tasty and delicious.
It’s a fresh, cool, clean shop, and Orwasher’s organized staff is friendly and efficient.

(I’ve read the negative comments below and disagree with all of them, I don’t understand how people can be so critical and judgmentally negative to a brand new business that came out of the city to our community with the best possible intentions. And giving a business like this one star? How’s that even remotely possible? People who do that because they feel the sandwich was missing an ounce of turkey should be ashamed. It costs a fortune to open a shop like this. support is better than bashing or damaging a business)
