Atmosphere is really cute. The employees are all very friendly and offer great service. We stopped by on a Friday and it was after the lunch crowd so we were served quickly. Portion sizes are good and match up well with the prices. The food is good and fresh. Everything seems to have a bit of a peppery taste to it. Not chile pepper, but black pepper. Beans and rice are good.

Great food. They made mention on many signs they were low on staff but the signs looked pretty aged so I have to say our main complaint was the wait time for a server to pay any attention to us. We would have spent more money, ordered appetizers and then desert if we had the chance but after 1.5 hours and 2 visits to the table to take a main order after sitting for 15min then deliver food …then sitting for 30 minutes after we were done eating waiting because we were excited to order what looked like an awesome desert.
But listen the food is great. I can’t encourage the management enough to even raise your prices if needed to pay well and get some good staff. You will definitely make more money. And y’all deserve to because it’s a good menu and everything we ate was awesome.

I ordered the chile relleno. They didn’t even deseed it and barely put any cheese inside. The chips were on the verge of being stale. The only thing good with my meal was the salsa, and the water. The service was okay though.

Had steak and shrimp combo fajitas (they came out sizzling!) and a Margarita. Husband had Seafood enchiladas and a Pacifico. Chips and salsa brought to the table with our menus. Everything was excellent! The waitress was a doll, the place is nicely decorated and clean. I highly recommend Ortegas.

Omg! What a great experience! The food was delicious and the service was excellent! The stuffed sopapilla was something I’d never heard of before, and it tasted incredible!
We came back the next day for breakfast and had another excellent experience!! Delicious food and excellent service again! I can’t remember the last time someone was so on top of keeping drinks full. We had a wonderful time. Thank you!

This place is horrible, nice location. Service was not good at all, felt racist. Got looks for just being in this spot. Good was horrible, not much better than Taco Bell, nothing freshly made all Costco or hard shell. Not fresh. Gross.

We had a huge party of at least 20 people. Food was amazing rice was great! Service was amazing! I had deep fried flour tortilla tacos, they were so good! I live in Colorado Springs now “fremont county native” and no where in Colorado Springs makes them like that!

If you’re looking for great food and a great atmosphere, this is your place!!!! Amazing!!! Earl is super nice and welcoming! They have the best green chili in Fremont county! We have tried almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed! Taco Tuesday is a great deal too!!!
