I’ve been here on two occasions and overall, my experience has been good. The staff are very nice and always have a smile. They are very attentive to your needs.
The first time I came, I had a bowl of menudo which was very flavorful. They just needed to cut the meat a little better. I had some long pieces. But that’s just nit picking. There are not a lot of big tables inside because it is rather small, but there is an outdoor seating area to enjoy. The wife had some banana topped pancakes and hash browns which she said was delicious as well.
The second visit, I ordered some nachos while I was watching football. They do have a couple of tv’s to watch. The nachos were good and the red salsa on the side was nice and spicy.

I was looking for a cozy breakfast spot and this place did not fail to deliver. I ordered the Mexican breakfast skillet, which was full of flavor with a Belgian waffle as a side. It came with a delicious homemade whipped cream. I will definitely be coming back when I am in the area.

Love Ortega’s. Great food and friendly staff. This time however my chicken sandwich was dry and over cooked. I couldn’t est it. Next time I’ll stick with my usual steak& shrimp.

There’s great food, great service, and a great atmosphere at this family restaurant. The waitresses are always in a friendly mood when we come here and the food is always tasty. The plates are good size portions too.

My family and I have had nothing but amazing experiences here. We’ve only had breakfast here so far but we are looking forward to trying their lunch and dinner options soon. Like many people in the area, we’ve tried soo many places and everything is either overpriced, tastes like it was warmed up, or poor service. Ortega’s diner was quite literally perfect as someone with a very picky family. The waiters immediately greet you with a smile and are very welcoming. They are also very patient because the menu is large with so many good options. Now, the food is what really sealed the deal because it’s very affordable, cheaper than chain restaurants yet AMAZING true homemade quality. I was shocked the food tasted very homey and comforting because it was all fresh. I had the French toast, waffles, and egg sandwich on the time I’ve gone and all have been a 10/10 with 0 complaints. We have tried soo many places breakfast places but this is the place!!!!

We went here for lunch with my mother in law and the whole experience was excellent. Our server was outstanding, she was on top of everything and took amazing care of us. I wish we had one of those “you’re amazing, thank you for your outstanding customer service” cards. They are very lucky to have her. We highly recommend this place!

Service was wonderful. The waitress was very attentive with a polite attitude. The food was delicious. I order the waffles with their homemade cream topping, that was really good. My husband had the chilaquiles plate with steak. The steak was soft and flavorful. Will definitely come again.

I recently stopped by Ortega’s Diner and tried their menudo, which was solid! I’d rate it a solid 8/10. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the hominy and tripe were cooked to perfection. It had just the right amount of spice, making it hearty and satisfying.
The only thing that would’ve taken it to the next level? Homemade tortillas! Don’t get me wrong, the ones they served were fine, but there’s just something about fresh, handmade tortillas that would have made the meal perfect.
All in all, Ortega’s is a great spot for menudo, and I’d definitely come back. Just hoping they start making those tortillas in-house!
