Our family stopped in for dinner tonight visiting the area. After a day of traveling and junk food, we had delicious meals presented almost perfectly. My two grandchildren, picky like all 6 and 7-year-olds, even ate their meals with none of the usual complaining. My blackened chicken strawberry salad was fantastic and my wife and daughter said their salads were delicious as well. My son-in-law’s burger was nothing to rave about, but he said it was good nonetheless.

This was my first time going to O’Roukes since we’ll before Covid. The hostess at the door sucked. I swear she was seating whoever she wanted. Some other couple came in after us and the hostess let them sit wherever they wanted. My wife confronted her and she said they had a reservation but we heard the hostess speaking to them about working something out about getting a table. None the less they were seated before my wife and I. Grrrrrr. Then once we did finally get a seat an hour later, the waitress wasn’t very good. She was friendly at first, but that’s about it. Didn’t get our order right, then made a comment like “what do you want me to do”? I probably won’t return here. I don’t think it was worth the time or Money for dinner

O’Rourkes is not the sort of place I’d usually go. While I like pub type fare, I don’t drink alcohol, so a certain part of the appeal of a bar and grill is lost on me. However, their food is still pretty good.

It’s a Pawtuxet icon. An established, long standing business that has a comfortable feel. The only challenge I experienced, was with a basic, classic bar drink I ordered. It was not good. There was barely any alcohol in it. Extremely weak. How do you mess up a Jack and coke?? It doesn’t have to be like the way I make them at home. It just really needs to be made bar right. Granted, when I broached the topic with our server, I was offered another. I kindly refused.

Cute place by the water. Service was not horrible. Just took forever to get the bill after lunch hour. Staff reduced. Soup and sandwich. Onion soup was delicious.

O’Rourkes is a fairly traditional style bar/pub with a menu selection you would expect to see at such an establishment. The food was good but not exceptional. I had a shaved steak sandwich which was a bit dry and my friend had stuffies. Their clamb chowder was quite tasty and appeared to be homemade. Their beer selection was modest. There is a small parking lot in back and limited street parking.

Had a great lunch here with my friend while I was in town. Great views of the harbor and a very cozy nautical overall theme overall inside. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the food was great, with good portions and flavors. Overall a very fun spot and one I recommend!

While it was a busy weekend I can understand slow service but I felt like if I was a regular it would have been faster. I get it a steady tipper over an unknown. Got 1 stuffed clam that was the blandest clam I’ve ever had in my 52 years of living in N.E. and oily fish and chips again bland. Can I pick you up some seasoning? Maybe it was an off day but 8d think Gaspee days weekends you’d put your best staff in the kitchen

Good food, good friends and good music by Sean Connell. Celtics were on TV, and although they could not serve Guinness because the Nitrous system wasn’t working, Smithwick’s did the job. Pic is of shaved steak sandwich with tater tots.
