Chicken is cooked to perfection here and they dont slack on quality at all – Prices are fair for what you get. Authentic Cajun/Southern/Soul type food that’s sure to set your day right. Talented team at this location.

My girlfriend and I ordered 2 meals with fish as the protein, and when we started eating it the fish DID NOT taste good at all. We called the store and spoke to the manager Jasmine. She told us to bring back the meal with no less than 85% of each plate remaining and they can replace it, we did so and they still didn’t replace our order. We will never come back to this location. Poor customer service and attitudes, the one on Crenshaw is much better. This was our first time not enjoying our meal from here and this is how we were treated.

I ordered the $24 snapper and shrimp platter and was very disappointed. I expected the light, flaky batter typically used for fried fish; however, the seafood was so heavily battered that it felt more like eating fried chicken than fish. The Cajun fries tasted like generic frozen fries. The recipe is definitely different from the Overhill and Slauson location that closed.

That said, the service was great. If I return, I may only order dessert, as they had a plethora of sweets to choose from.

Ordered the clam chowder and there was barely any clams and the flavor was bland. The mumbo jumbo over rice was over priced and not worth the money. Be careful what you order, because they won’t exchange the order for something else. Very disappointed.

It’s one of my favorite chains in SoCal since I’m a sucker for great po’boys.
This is my go-to place for such sandwiches. They offer a great selection of proteins for them (fried oysters are ny choice).

Don’t get it wrong, though, they also offer pastrami and other delui cut meats for your hero of choice if New Orleans seafood isn’t your thing.

I will say this isn’t a cheap deli/sandwich shop at all. You can easily spend $35 per person if you get a small side and a drink. I always end up biting the bullet at the cashier after I realized how I ran up the bill when paying upfront.

Restaurant was well kept and extremely clean inside. I got one of the NY style Heros and a Cajun potato salad. It was pretty good. Staff was super friendly and efficient. I’ll be back if I’m in the neighborhood.

Food is great however the service for something as simple as Clam Chowder took close to 15 minutes to get after in restaurant order with no customers + shouldn’t soup already be ready ? … just scoop ? also some staff could use personality adjustments !

On 11/18/25, I called this business because I had been given the wrong number it was one digit off which I didn’t know at the time. When a woman answered, I was confused, thinking I had reached the place I intended to call. Instead of showing any basic courtesy or professionalism and letting me know I had the wrong number, she hung up on me mid-sentence.

I called back, assuming the first hang-up might have been accidental, but the call was picked up only to be immediately hung up on again. That level of disrespect and unprofessional behavior is absolutely unacceptable. I had never even heard of this place before, but now I have and this experience alone is enough to make sure I will never order from here or contact this business for anything.

Not sure how Betty became the manager, but she is very unprofessional and highly disrespectful. I spent $25 for 10 hot wings. I asked for buffalo sauce and she’s gonna tell me that’s an extra charge… I proceeded to let her know that the wings was very dry and they had no sauce on them. She proceed to give a very don’t care attitude so then I asked for a refund. Instead of her trying to make it right she then proceeds to process my refund …. and I’m thinking to myself you rather lose $25 then to give me one small sauce. I’m not going to spend my money at an establishment where customer service is very poor and if you are the so-called manager, then you should have better customer service than what you have.
in the near future if I do come back I hope
Betty can be more professional with her services as she is the face of the business when she’s on shift.
