Good, flavorful Cajun food with solid portions and reasonable prices. The service was friendly and helpful with a good allergy and the atmosphere is comfortable with some nice decorative touches. The menu is extensive and the dishes we tried were very good.

We had a pleasure to stop by this Cajun Seafood restaurant near Katy TX, and are happy to present below:

1. Overview
• Location: Katy TX
• Visit Date: Sunday Lunch
• Cuisine: Cajun
• Style: Casual, Family-Friendly

2. First Impressions

Family-oriented vibe, especially lively on Sundays. The decor is full of Louisiana Cajun charm—rustic, colorful, and inviting. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, adding to the warm atmosphere.

3. Food

Ordered the Fish Po’boy & Gumbo combo—everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned with authentic Cajun spices. The gumbo had great depth and the po’boy was crispy and satisfying. A solid representation of traditional Cajun cooking.

4. Menu & Value

Good variety of classic Cajun dishes. Portions are generous, and pricing is reasonable ($$). Great quality for the cost—definitely good value for money.

5. Cleanliness

Dining area was clean and well-kept, even during a busy lunch hour. Restrooms were also clean and maintained.

6. Highlight

Sunday Church Discount – show up after church and get a special discount. A unique and thoughtful touch that strengthens community ties.

7. Final Verdict: 5 Stars
Highly recommended for anyone who loves bold, traditional Cajun flavors in a warm, welcoming setting. Great for families, especially on Sundays.

Second time coming, but first time leaving a review… food was great, but portion could’ve been a bit bigger. The service was pretty quick, but kind of straightforward and not as hospitable as I would like. The atmosphere was pretty great, and it wasn’t too busy for a Sunday afternoon. I enjoyed the restaurant, and have been surprised by the quality both times as a Louisiana native. Food is pretty well-seasoned, and I’ve had no complaints so far. 4 out of 5! Great job!

We placed an online order for the crawfish pistolette and chix tenderloins with fries. We asked for country gravy to dip them in. My wife even called the Westgreen location after the order was placed and asked about adding country gravy as the dipping sauce. The young lady who answered the phone said she could add one free but cannot add any more as they would have to charge us. When we received the order, it had two honey mustard sauces and no country gravy! Upon seeing this, I called the restaurant and was on hold for a bit and your manager, Cameron, saved the day. I explained everything that happened and he apologized numerous times. We have been customers of this Orleans restaurant since they opened in 2008. We have met both owners, Chance and Marcus. Their story about how they created their “empire” is fascinating. I understand you can’t get good help these days, and people will tell you one thing and do another, but I have to say a big thank you to Cameron. Anyone who works with the public knows this: If you tell us you’re going to add it and then you don’t, that makes a very unhappy customer, and one who may never come back.

My family and I have been eating here since 2011. The food in the past was very good and always served hot.
I came in tonight and placed my to go order, payed for my food and waited. My food came out in a reasonable amount of time. But when I got home, my order was totally screwed up! I was missing a nice portion of my order, no condiments that I specifically asked for, and my food was warm…not hot!

You guys are going to have to make this right, or we are done coming to your restaurant.

Sorry, not impressed. Cheap prices, cheap presentation. The blackened shrimp had no seasoning whatsoever. I asked for butter and got movie theater butter. basically I could have made a better dish at home. Presentation is like the school cafeteria served it. Maybe the drinks are the draw because the food simply ain’t it. Service was decent but this is definitely one to skip if you’re looking for excitement.

We had a wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. What truly made the visit stand out was the exceptional customer service. Chris, the manager, went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect and made us feel genuinely welcome. As a thoughtful and generous gesture, he even treated us to a complimentary bread pudding, which was absolutely delicious and a perfect ending to the meal. Outstanding service and great food. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this place.

We started going to Orleans Seafood Kitchen back in 2010 when we lived here. We moved out of state in 2017 but make Orleans a must when we are traveling back through.

FOOD: It doesn’t matter what you have, it’ll be some of the best Cajun food ever. We’ve tried it all! Catfish Orleans is my favorite along with the pistolettes or fried alligator. The etoufee is always excellent. Their muffulettas were great but I think they did away with them. Their gumbo is Cajun good and the best! Red beans and rice are a great way to go as well!

SERVICE: The service has always been good! It used to be that one of the owners was always there but I didn’t see either tonight. But we were treated very friendly and always have been!

ATMOSPHERE: Going to Orleans Seafood Kitchen always gives a good Louisiana, Cajun feel. It’s easy going as the place is wide open and even has outside dining. One walks up to the counter to order and is not attended to at their seat. Tonight, we were there til closing (10:00 PM) visiting an old friend and never felt rushed by the staff.

We have taken so many people to Orleans over the years. Our friends couldn’t understand why they passed 2-3 Pappadeaux’s to go here until they ate here. Some even went back and ordered a second plate in the same visit! It’s a great place for Cajun style food! Today, we flew in a day early to make sure we could go visit the best Cajun restaurant!

Food here is good if they have it. When a large portion of your menu uses bread you really should never run out of bread. I’ll stay going to the fulshear restaurant.
Update… I came back and really wish I hadn’t. This is the most pitiful poboy I think I’ve ever seen. The price is paid for this is trash. The few fries I got are cold. But the gumbo is actually good. Waisted money
