To your response…….. the soup was already half gone when it got to the table, hence why I posted the picture I took as soon as it got there. All of the cheese and mushy bread was sent back, like I said I had 2 bites (small at that) and could not take the saltiness and burnt taste after that, good luck with your recipe! But again NO one came to the table to ASK me what was wrong with it.
Took awhile to get our appetizer and entree ordered. The prices are kinda high. They have a salad bar that you fix yourself. Side salad plates are very small saucers.
Ordered the crawfish cornbread appetizer which was the best thing we had all night, hardly any crawfish stuffing in it though, sweet cornbread mix btw for those who don’t like sweet cornbread. Ordered the soft shell crab, waitress came back over and asked if I want the crawfish étouffée or the blackened shrimp on it, I told her nothing on top to take away from the crab but she could put it on the side. She presented it to me as it came with my meal even tho I asked and mentioned to her that it didn’t state that on the menu.(I’m not sure if the other staff didn’t push her to get me to add it). Come check time, I was charged extra for the blackened shrimp. I asked the waitress about it and she said must have been an issue on the computer and she would take it off. She comes back over with the receipt and says” well looks like the shrimp are on me tonight”. I was leaving her a good tip before hand because of the situation but after that I was a little perturbed. I ended up leaving more so it would cover the loss she may encounter. Anyways, the blackened shrimp were the best part of my entree. The crab wasn’t that good. Gritty and super fishy on the body. Green beans needed salt/seasoning. Wife had the ribeye and mashed potatoes. It was decent. Overall, wouldn’t go back for the price and quality of the food. The atmosphere is nice, just a small space.
The cocktails were absolutely delicious — crafted with care and perfectly balanced. The salad bar was another highlight, fully stocked with fresh options and an impressive variety of dressings. The Mardi Gras dressing, in particular, was OUTSTANDING — bold, flavorful, and unlike anything I’ve had before!
For my entrée, I had the blackened redfish with grits and asparagus, and it was perfection — the seasoning, the texture, and the presentation were all spot on. Every bite was full of flavor. I wish I had saved room for dessert, but that just gives me a great reason to come back. I’m already looking forward to my next visit — I know it won’t disappoint!
The creative, mouthwatering menu invites through a cornucopia of perfectly crafted options. The raw oysters were astoundingly fresh, cold and perfectly presented. The top-angus steak was not only properly cooked to order, the wood tray presentation was excellent.
We selected a baked potato and the vegetable of the day for our side. The squash was well-seasoned and cooked to the perfect texture.
We didn’t have desert or any cocktails as our current diet wouldn’t allow; however, seeing other indulge certainly has us craving our next visit so we can explore even more delectable options.
10 out of 10, and can’t believe we have such a fine dining experience offered right here in our hometown.
