Some friends recommended this place for lunch and we always see it when we eat at Umami next door so we gave it a try. It is like Chipotle, just a bit more pricy. It’s a good a size place plenty of seating. Really nice casual vibe. The service was good they were really friendly. They have a soda fountain and agua frescas. Tried the pomegranate fresca it was very yummy super fresh tasting. I enjoyed it. Got some bowls and chips. Food was good the portions were good as well definitely recommend.

We have been coming to this location for quite some time. Unfortunately, the portions have gotten smaller as time goes on, but the prices keep going up. This location is inconsistent, the quality of your food depends on who is working. Quality has gotten noticeably worse over time as well. The picture attached is my final straw, I won’t be returning here again.

Ordered two steak bowls for pickup… received one correctly made bowl and one bowl missing steak. I guess it was my fault for trusting the store. 12.75 for a rice bowl. Utterly disappointing.

I haven’t been here in a very long time. I think it used to just be called Zaba’s. Anyways I am not sure how they can manage to have no taste to their food. Even the Pico de gallo has no taste. I had to squeeze some limes in it. Save yourself a little money and go to Chipotle or Cafe Rio.

Don’t add guacamole unless you want to pay $3.75 for small scoop that was added to our bowls. They ask you what you want but don’t tell you about hidden charges. We had ordered 2 bowls one with extra meat (for charge) and the total was $33 ($36 with tax). We had asked for 3 dressing of balsamic vinegar and 3 cilantro but they wanted to charge $2.50 after one even though we had purchased extra meat on one. Good food but not for that price

Comparing to zabaz 6 years ago. I see the decline, prices are more expensive than chipotle and somehow your portions got even smaller, maybe I got bad luck but every item we ordered was severely undersized compared to my previous visits. 17 dollars for…. A tiny

Thanks for being kind and patient, and having good food and drinks for a great lunch.

There’s more I haven’t tried yet, so I can just say 4 stars before I try other proteins like the shrimp. I need to remember the military veterans discount, so I can bring my dad along for him to show ID, and he loved that the queso softened the nachos for him, and he does really like tomato and cilantro.

I hope to try other meats soon, and other Aguas frescas though horchata is my top favorite.

What a chaotic and frustrating experience dining at this restaurant for the first time.  When we arrived and approached the counter to order, a lady took our order but instead of writing it down, she asked us to repeat the order several times so she could get it straight although it wasn’t very complicated at all….was suppose to be 1 order of the Award Winning Fish Tacos plus 3 tacos (2 fish & 1 steak) and a side order of rice and beans.
Once we thought she finally had it correct, we proceeded to the cashier where a young man asked us what we ordered so he could ring it up.  I thought, really, we have to go through this AGAIN?  The cashier was even more confused and we had to repeat and correct the order 4 times before we thought he had finally gotten it correct.  The 1st lady then came over to the cashier to help him and she was still confused on our order and asked us “How many fish tacos total?” We responded that there should be a total of 5 fish tacos (3 flour & 2 corn tortillas).

After paying, the cashier then realized that he hadn’t charged us for the order of 3 tacos (2 fish + 1 steak) so he had to ring those up separately.  After we sat down to wait for our order, the lady called us up again to ask what we wanted on the steak taco.

Once we received our order, it still wasn’t correct!  The plate with the 3 tacos (2 fish + 1 steak) was correct but the 2nd one that was supposed to be their Award Winning Fish Tacos only had 2 tacos, when the order board clearly stated that entree came with 3 tacos.  I brought the basket up to the counter and explained that I had only received 2 fish tacos in the order and it was supposed to be 3 and both the cashier and the lady making the food were very confused and didn’t understand.  Not sure if it was a language barrier or if they just were completely unfamiliar with the menu.

I finally got the 3rd fish taco and luckily everything tasted good but what should have been a simple and relaxing experience trying out this restaurant for the first time was very disappointing and we probably will not return because of it.

There are many restaurants in the area that provide this same type of quick Mexican food without the hassle of having to state and restate our order over and over and then it ended up being incorrect anyway.  These employees should be given a notepad or tablet to enter the orders on when they are taken from a customer, if they have trouble remembering a simple orer, rather than asking a customer to repeat over and over again.

Additionally, the total of our 2 meals was $40 (2 transactions), which in my opinion is very expensive for fast food Mexican food without any beverages.  $7 just for a side of rice and beans is insane.

I’ve gone here a couple times with my son never had any bad service I thought as soon as you walk in you get a greeting and I like the fruit. I think it’s better than chipotle and better than Café Rio.
