The motto at Original Uncle Toms Barbecue is Taking it back 70 years! The staff employs this motto in an effort to recreate the Original Uncle Toms BBQ, which was pioneered by Thomas Fantis back in 1948 to serve the community with authentic barbecue. Tom also created an infamous one-of-a-kind sauce. With the help of this generation’s Fantis family, the current Original Uncle Toms Barbecue vows to once again serve authentic barbecue—and recreate that legendary our sauce.

The place has been the same since it was inaugurated, that is, the history of the place is clear. Indeed, it is one of these historical places that has been operating for almost 80 years serving the same food. I ordered a sequence for two people that has an appetizer, main course and dessert for US$ 55.00. The food is awesome and the beer was great. I highly recommend it!

Mozzarella sticks were delicious. The cheese tasted fresh inside and had a great cheese pull! The atmosphere is so cute and welcoming. We had a very nice server. I ordered a brisket sandwich and it had the perfect amount of sauce, and it’s so good. The bun tasted very high quality. My husband got a chicken and brisket platter and I tasted the chicken and it was delicious. Today’s special was a steak and my son got that, so I gave it a try too: and it was equally as good. My other son had a burger and he loved it. We were very happy with our experience!

I can’t recommend Uncle Tom’s BBQ in Little Havana. The restaurant may have the look and feel of a classic American BBQ shack, but it’s now under new management, and it shows. I ordered the ribs, but what I got was something entirely different, and it was far from good. The brisket was another disappointment – it didn’t resemble brisket at all, and the taste was off. The quality of the meat is very low, and I wouldn’t advise wasting your money here in hopes of enjoying good BBQ. As for the chicken, it wasn’t memorable – you can find better chicken at any fast food place.

WAY OVERPRICED! Brisket was a joke. Looked like bacon strips. The nail in the coffin was the 18% service charge…. I’ll NEVER go back! If this was a $30 bill it would have been OK. Good sitting areas, nice staff but bill ended up being $70.00. I’ve had WAY better for way less…

Uncle Tom’s was OK. Nothing really to be excited about. The spare ribs and baby backs were tender and juicy. In my opinion, they were underseasoned. I expected to taste some good seasonings since this place is in the Latino community. It was just OK. The BBQ sauce was a little too sweet with no kick to it. The burnt ends were overcooked and dried out, I don’t recommend it. Now the the pulled pork Mac and cheese was great. It’s made with pasta shells and plenty of pulled pork. That was the most exciting thing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would stop again.

This location has an 18% gratuity included that’s definitely not worth the service. Food here is amazing ! Kudos to the chef and kudos staff. But their servers could not care less, having the tip included, they didn’t even put an effort on the service they delivered. There was 3 ladys here this night, they were more into their own gossip that into taking the order or even checking on us. First she took 20 !!!! 20 minutes to even approach the table and take the order , they were killing the awesome vibe this place have with their extra loud gossip. I had the ribs and the nachos , nachos were ok but the ribs ABSOLUTELY AMAZING DELICIOUS GORGEOUS It comes with fries and coslaw. I definitely recommend ordering from this place. I loved the decoration but the service was so bad in the future ill do uber eats or any other food delivery so i can enjoy their ribs and other dishes without getting upset. I do recommend this place tho because you have to try this food.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Very disappointed at the quality of their food not what I was expecting. The chicken wings weren’t cooked properly and the mozzarella sticks were cold inside. Customer service horrible it wasn’t a busy night at all, at most 3 tables and 2 waitress. Our waitress was lost no knowledge of their menu. I don’t know if she was new or no motivation to be there. We had to scooped words out of her to tell us as simple which type of lemonade they had she said they had “a pink and yellow lemonade?!” She brought our appetizers together with our dinner it wasn’t hot, no napkins we had to get them from a table that was about to leave. To pay I had to go to the counter because she forgot to get our check. She was inside all the time. Total disaster and I can keep on going. Please give proper training to your Staff

We stopped in after passing by while visiting the area. The place seems to have a great laid back atmosphere. We set outdoors on their patio. The weather was nice so it was a nice dinning experience. We had both the pork and beef slice platter with a beer.
I was concerned when i first saw bbq sauce on the meat. But once taking a bit I was pleasantly surprised. It was delicious, very tasty and full of flavor.
This was some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. The Cole slaw was also delicious and some of the best cole slaw I’ve ever had. The beer was nice and cold which made for a great BBQ dinning experience and the service was great.

First walking into the building, it gives you the vibes of a great bbq joint! The servers were very prompt and quick when it came time to order and drink. The kitchen was also very fast getting the sandwich out. The pulled pork was very dry though and bland which hurt the overall rating. The fries and coleslaw were delicious though.

Food is not worth what we paid. The options are limited on sides as well as only a couple options on the kids menu. You cannot get the Mac and cheese as your choice of side. Was disappointed with the Mac and cheese. Was not a fan of the hint of garlic in the Mac and cheese. Wasn’t creamy like it saids it is. Husband said the steak was ok. The crinkle fries were not cooked long enough and overly salted. The chili cheese fries were a pile of slop. My mother in law said that the shredded pork tasted like it was bad. The food portions were good size.
