On our drive back from LA, we didn’t quite make it to the rampart Original Tommy’s but this restaurant and staff assisted in bringing the LA flavors to my flavor memories when I used to visit when I lived in LA. Now a Coachella valley resident, this is the closest for me to get that OG chili.
Staff was amazingly kind, service was quick despite their drive thru is busy non stop
Food orderd: two combos #1, one upgraded to the 1/4 lbs. A tamale with all the goodies. We also had a chili cheese fries with their new offering of “Caliente”! They are a Pepsi house so we enjoyed the Pepsi Zero. I got keep it healthy. Kidding. We bought a couple of Tommy’s shirts as this is my first time my spouse enjoyed this establishment.
I make a pretty close chili so it is not foreign to her but it’s a good way to see the inspiration of my chili.
If you see this sign, take a break from driving and enjoy a combo. Remember, if it doesn’t have the shack, take it back!
Shirts are cotton and have a cool Rampart store with some classic vehicles! We picked up a medium and an XL since I had this meal. I can proudly say I gained four lbs after this meal! What an incredible feat! No I intermittent fast for 18 hours. I’m so happy that we decided to stop in and avoided the heavy traffic on the 10 freeway

Got the chili cheese fries for $3.49 (offer from IG) -good! Got the triple chili burger, patties are still small so maybe go with 1/4 upgrade.

Wayyyyy overpriced! I think I’ve had Tommy’s maybe once or twice in my lifetime, now I remember why. I was nearby and Art’s burgers is still under construction. In a hurry and I was tired of McDonald’s, so Tommy’s it is. They only have a few combos. Everything else that you order as a combo will be added up individually priced. The burger is ridiculously small. So is the order of french fries. When I asked her if this is the over $5 french fries that I paid for, she responded “yes that is french fries” (yes, I included the tax when I made that statement). My medium drink is the same size as a large elsewhere. One good thing, they didn’t charge me extra for the thousand Island I asked for for my fries.

Late night. No line. Took 5 minutes to order. Ordered and paid. Waiting at the window watching 3 guys just talking. Been here 10 minutes. With no line and 3 guys socializing instead of working on my order. Thinking the boss needs to rethink their staff. Won’t be coming here anymore

Got their chili burger for $5.50 as of 2025. Very good. Smooth chili. But there wasn’t much towards the inside. Just outside 🙁 Wish they would give more. Decently priced and tasty food tho.

Super clean. Friendly staff. Plenty of tables to eat alone, in a small group or a big group. Place to eat inside and outside. Delicious food with or without the chili cheese. Small parking lot…but you can always grab and go in the drive thru. Awesome that you can now take home a bowl of chili, I love that. Best chili cheese fries ever. It’s right off of the freeway. A little more expensive than before, but still worth it.

Tommy’s is a great go to for chillli burgers in LA. Not much else to say outside of that given their reputation.
This location is actually cleaner and less crowded than other spots but isn’t open all day/night like other locations.

For being the only customer, i waited almost 10 minutes for my order.
Upon looking around, the floor was nasty and it looked like mold on the baseboard in front of the counter.
When my order was ready, the employee just put the food on the counter and never said my order was ready.
But on the good side, the food was delicious .

This location is pretty convenient right around the corner of the 10 Freeway exit off Peck Road. The venue is clean and just like any fast food chain comfortable enough to enjoy a quick meal. The menu is a simple LA Classic Chili Burgers, Hot Dogs, Breakfast Sandwich, Chili’s Fries, and Tamale.
