No inside space for customers – just the order window. It was cold out when I visited.
I got the Tommy’s special on the double chili cheeseburger. I also got chili cheese fries. I spent $12.50. The chili looked like it had cooked a long time; it was very dark. The chili cheeseburger was sloppy – what do you expect for a chili burger? I appreciated the deal on the burger but am not sure I’d go back. The fries were overpriced.

We use to go the one on Roscoe Blvd in North Hills until a friend told us about the flavor in the chili at the Sunland location. We will not be returning to the North Hills location as it’s not the real deal in flavor and texture. We receive their free emails when it’s buy one get one or any of their other offers.

I’m writing this with a heavy heart. My brother took his last breath on the lower level parking of this Tommy’s property May I add that this parking had zero cars yesterday and only one car today that belonged to the employee Chris. It was a small memorial with a cross and flowers flickering candles a way to honor him and be closer to him
When we returned this afternoon everything had been removed. I asked the manager, Katherine, what happened. She called corporate but refused to give me a name or contact. When I pressed her about where the memorial went, she said, “My guess? They threw it in a bag and tossed it in the dumpster,” with a completely cold and emotionless expression.
Not even a “sorry for your loss.” No compassion. No care. Just dry and ice cold it’s policy and indifference.
That wasn’t just a cross. It was love, grief, the only place we could go to feel close to him as we wait and plan his funeral. And they treated it like trash.
Shame on Tommy’s and Katherine for showing zero empathy to a grieving family. Businesses like this need to remember we are human beings. Not everything is just “policy.”

Quick service, hot meal, reasonable prices. Noisy location, but that’s ok, Tommys is always good.

In my nearly 49 years of touring every Tommy’s location, we stopped in here today 3:30pm on 4-13-24 in an unusual storm. The reason I mention the time and date is because the staff on this particular shift was the best of any I have experienced. They were like a well oiled machine. With only 3 on staff and a long line moving so fast you wouldn’t believe it. The main guy at the window was a stud. Very articulate, very fast and it was impressive enough where we weren’t the only patrons that noticed. Bottom line is the food is great as always, but this location on this day at this time was performing at a higher level than we had ever seen. Now we are off to the next Tommy’s for more discovery of the welcomed nuances of each Original Tommy’s Locations.
