The best chili cheese burgers in town-hands down. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, and it never misses. Pro tip: Ask for the peppers-they add the perfect kick that brings the whole meal together. Pair your burger and fries with a thick shake or a root beer float for the full experience. This restaurant was spotless, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive.

The young lady Kimberly C., took my order with no problem. When I pulled up to the window she had someone else to switch with her and said something to the young man. Kimberly C., then gave me a dirty look and walked towards the back of the restaurant in the kitchen area. The young man let me know how much my order was. He was professional and well mannered. My food was okay but it barely had cheese on it, the French fries were good but the chili tasted weird. The five star service was for the young man only. Not quite Valencia or Eagle Rock, but it’s still an Original Tommy’s
The chili isn’t quite as granular as the LA ones, but the comfort and flavor are there

It was great visiting Tommys while in Las Vegas! Their Caliente chili burger with extra chili is so delicious!

Tommy’s world famous hamburgers is always the First Choice chili burger spot for me. Unfortunately, Tommy’s isn’t in my state, so I make it a point to swing by there every time I’m in California once on the way in once while I’m there once on the way out. I hope my mom doesn’t read this. I’ve been going to Tommy since I was just a wee lad and many many many many many many years ago when I had one chin and a full head of hair, so at least 25 years now. I don’t know where they get them, but those thick cut ice cold tomatoes, pickles, onions, and mustard fuse with that infamous Tommy’s chill is sure to keep you going back. The first two pictures are of a Tommy’s double chili burger. The second pictures are a mega combo triple cheeseburger brought back from California by my brother’s Sasquatch.

There are meals you eat because you’re hungry, and then there are meals you knowingly sign a waiver for.
Original Tommy’s falls into the second category.
You don’t walk up to that counter pretending you’re making a responsible decision. You come here because somewhere deep in your soul lives a grease-loving outlaw who wants comfort, chaos, and a little regret with extra napkins.
I ordered the chili cheeseburger and the chili cheese fries. Not dipped, not lightly topped, not artistically drizzled. Buried. Smothered. Properly baptized in that legendary chili.
Now let’s talk about the chili.
It’s not fancy. It’s not trying to impress a chef in a white coat. It does one job, and it does it perfectly. Thick enough to cling to everything it touches, seasoned like someone’s been quietly perfecting it since Eisenhower was in office, salty in exactly the right way, just a little heat, just a little sweetness, and absolutely no apology. Every bite hits the same checklist your brain secretly keeps for comfort food. Rich, messy, satisfying, borderline reckless.
The fries become a fork operation halfway through. The burger becomes a structural engineering challenge. And you, the eater, become fully committed.
Halfway in you know the truth. This is heavy artillery. Finish the plate and your body will file a complaint later. You will sit differently afterward. Possibly breathe differently.
And yet, you keep going.
Because every bite says the same thing: this is worth it.
Not once-a-week food. Not even once-a-month food. This is pilgrimage food. You show up, you accept the consequences, and you leave happy anyway.
Some meals nourish you.
Tommy’s understands you.

First time here ordered through the drive thru. There was a few minor hiccups. Their drive thru intercom system had a lot of echo which made it hard to understand what the person was saying. It did take a while before our food was ready.we sat there at the pick up window for sometime. I ordered the Caliente Chili Cheese Fries. It was spicy, but there was something about the chili cheese fries that was different than most i’ve tried. It was a few years back hearing about this place. I was never convinced by what others hyped it up to be. My passengers had different opinions about their orders too. All in all, Maybe its just my personal preference.

Super impressed with the gentleman who took my order. He was very polite. Even more impressed that he changed his gloves several times through transitioning from cooking to the registers and back. You don’t see that often. Great job!

Every time I come to this location, there’s no iced tea. It could be 11am, 3pm, 10pm. There’s no iced tea! It’s on the menu, but they don’t serve it. Apparently, the drive thru person said it’s the manager’s fault for not ordering it and they’ve apparently run out of other things also. I just think it’s a combination of laziness and not caring about their customer’s experience. Definitely not visiting for a while!

I’ve ate at the original Tommy’s in LA numerous times but the quality and size of the meat patties was disappointing here at the Vegas location. The cashier could not even tell us what kind or brand of chili they used. Frys with no salt and if you dont order the 1/4 pound, you will wonder where they hid the meat pattie as it is smaller than a child’s burger at McDonalds. They fall back on the ability to hide the quality issues with cheap yet expensive chili.
