Tried the rice combo with chicken wings it was really good!
It had plenty of shrimp, chicken, and other meats mixed in, and the flavor was on point. The fried chicken wings on the side were crispy and fresh too. Overall, everything was delicious and definitely worth ordering again
And check your orders before you leave because you don’t wanna wait in the drive-through it’s worth it but you don’t wanna come back and wait.

It’s my fault I was in the mood for fried rice. I battled the traffic 5 o’clock traffic and drive over an hour. I also remembered along the route the location is does not cater to their customers just accept their money (CASH ONLY). made the stop and continued on my way. My girls asked mom you come all the way out here when we eat the food rice. Joyfully I replied,”Yes”. Sat in the drive thru for about 26 minutes. I noticed the petty non- customer service refund policy. If we make for you only what you bring back. I remembered pray over all you eat. We receive our order and headed back home to and fro over an hour drive each way. We get home and I am preparing my girls plates and the chicken is NOT fully cooked. I am furious because I only took inventory of the items not the quality. I just knew as busy as they were it should be fresh. I called immediately and also concerned. If I would have allowed them to make their plate I would have been left with the doctor’s bill. After being transferred several times there was a voice on the phone no name even before an apology I was read the handwritten policy that’s posted. I informed the employee that I am no where near the area at least even without traffic 40 minutes. I asked her not to rush in the kitchen it Wil lostfood it will lose quality and consistency . That it did. 3pcs of chicken not fully cooked and discoloration. This location was visited because the other location near was sold to a hospital expansion. My advice when you visit this location read the ridiculous refund policy where customer service is NOT included. Check your items as well the quality. Gas prices has increased my time is irreplaceable therefore to inconvenience others and not stand behind the quality of food being served is sad. Collecting just cash is an inconvenience to customers not knowing how hungry a person is and your error is proven the least you could do if they comeback is remake the meal.

Very sketchy neighborhood. Not a chicken wing fan. Ordered 2 tenders with 3 shrimp. Trash. $8 donation. They butterfly both to give larger appearance, but lacked in flavor. Had to pay for BBQ sauce for the tenders…which tasted like tomato sauce with a dash of ketchup and BBQ sauce. Be aware if there are actual chicken wings or drummettes …depends on availablility. I can see why typical blacks love this place. But not for me. Lady at the counter very nice tho.

I normally don’t do this but I was not happy about my 6 piece wings on yesterday very dried, half cooked, and not season to taste. Which have not been my regular experience throughout the years. So on that note it was pack and the line around the corner. I guess by time they got to my order something happened. I will come back but I will check my food before I leave. Just in case we need to correct the problem.

1st time going to this location and it has changed my thoughts on Timmy Chan’s! Hands down best location in Houston(10 out of 10)!!! We ordered the 4pc and 6pc Chicken Wings Dinners and it was some of the best wings I’ve had here in Houston!

I drove an hour to come here. I’ve been living in Houston for 3 years and everyone told me to go Timmy Chans on MLK. I waited in line for maybe 30 mins just to get some little pink shrimp and mediocre rice. The chicken was good but spicy! They only took cash, so we had to go the gas station to get some! It was a joke! Did I get the wrong thing!? It wasn’t worth the wait, ride, or money!!!

I ordered the 8 piece chicken wings with combo spicy rice no eggs, cup of water, corn nuggets. Had to wait 15 minutes after paying Got home, had Drummettes, rice had eggs, no water and was charged $24.99. Really patronized them a lot, but no more. Need to hire order taker who understands what people ordered!!!

fried chicken always on point. I just wish they would season the fries. tried shrimp fried rice for the first time, ten dollars for some brown rice in pretty pricey(it’s good) but hardly any shrimp and barely has veggies(only beansprouts and chopped oinon). like 10 mini shrimp for that whole tub of rice is not enough

I recently visited the original Timmy Chan’s and was absolutely delighted by the experience! The fried chicken wings were the highlight of my meal—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. They’re some of the best I’ve ever had! To top it off, the Kool-Aid was surprisingly refreshing, the perfect sweet drink to complement the savory wings. This spot offers a no-frills dining experience where the focus is on delicious, hearty food. It’s a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Chinese flavors with an American twist. Highly recommend!
