Stopped in for breakfast. Service was fantastic. They make you feel like an old friend. The food was also good. I’ll be back for lunch. looks like they have a nice variety.
Can’t say enough about the service.

I come to Phillips as often as I am able too and yesterday and today’s trips were a real treat. All of the food here is delicious but I happened to inquire what kind of soup they had and discovered their Homemade Bean Soup. It is ABSOLUTELY some of the BEST that I have EVER had lin my entire life. I had some yesterday and also took some home for later and I also had some more today. Taylor’s best kept secret continues to amaze. Come try for yourself.

It’s a small place but the food is definitely delicious, the staff are very friendly, and you are made to feel the “family” atmosphere. And, in these frugal times, you will find the prices are very reasonable. I feel like it’s one of Taylor’s best kept secrets, yet it’s been here for as long as I can remember. My family have been eating here going all the way back to a time when my kids were little. And now my youngest is 25, so they have definitely earned a local following. I always enjoy stopping for my breakfast whenever I am in the area. But they have good lunch and early dinner options as well. Try out the Chopped Steak Dinner with Mushrooms, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Salad, and a cooked Vegetable all for under $15.00. Man it’s so delicious . And for all of you first timers, take a moment to check out all of the AMAZING Historical photos on the walls. They have a vast assortment that will bring back some very fond and PRECIOUS memories. They also have carry out and you can phone ahead if you want to pick it up and go. You can park on all sides of the restaurant. And masks are optional at this time.

It was my husband and my first time there. The server was so nice. Even other customers were nice and talking to us. You could feel how much of a family environment it was. And the food…DELICIOUS. Terry said he wants all of his burgers from there from now on. We’ll definitely be visiting again (repeatedly).

Decided to check this place out based off the reviews. The business is family owned and run. Very attentive staff and cooks. I had a salad and veggie Omlet and the rice pudding. Everything was home made, including the croutons on the salad. This is the best customer service I’ve ever had. The meal was $15 before tip. Check this place if you are in the area. You won’t be disappointed.

Small hometown, family owned restaurant. The staff is very friendly. The food was delicious. Bacon was cooked to a light crisp. Not burnt. Not raw in spots. My scramble eggs were soft, light, and fluffy. Pancakes were yummy! My husband loved the fresh potatoes. The other customers will make conversations with you as if you knew them. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the booths are tight for heavier people. I wish they had more space between the bench and the edge of the table. My 8 month pregnant daughter will not fit in there. Spent about 9 or so a piece. The parking lot is small for larger vehicles.

We stopped by after a car show. We’re not from the area and looked up a good restaurant for breakfast and lunch and Phillips had great reviews so we gave it a shot. We weren’t disappointed, as the food was great, as was the service. The sausage gravy was phenomenal, and they make it fresh in house. The omelets and eggs were delicious, with large portions so you won’t leave hungry. Our server was great, and she made a few suggestions. She even let my wife have a sample of the sausage gravy, which my wife decided on ordering because it’s so good. We really enjoy a family owned diner with great food, and Original Phillips hits the mark!

Great little restaurant. We were visiting from out of state and so I searched for the top rated breakfast spots and found this restaurant. When we pulled up hubby thought maybe we didn’t make a good choice but we later changed our initial impression.

We both ordered the Philip’s Special and I ordered a side of home fries. The food was good and when the ticket came, hubby thought it was wrong because it was so cheap.

The place was much smaller than we expected and certainly had a “dive” feel. But the staff was welcoming and you could tell that this restaurant had a series of regulars that would dine often.

If we are ever back in the area we would come again

Service was friendly and prompt. Pancake, eggs, sausage, and bacon were great. The biscuit was excellent. The gravy is one of the few scratch gravy’s we have found in the area. While the gravy was homemade, the addition of onions was a turn off for me. It may go very well over potatoes.
