Just what you would expect for an oyster house. Looks like a tourist spot from the outside but the place was filled with locals during the offseason. Food was great. Fried crab claws were a first and the gulf shrimp was so good. Sat at the bar to watch the football games and the bartenders took really good care of us. Definitely recommend this place! Prices were good as well.

UPDATE – -Visited again on Feb 17th 2026 at 1pm. We sat at table # 44, and our server was “Erica”.

We had the pecan encrusted white fish again, 2 crab cakes with the 5 dollar salad bar with sides of fries and red beans. We had a glass of Moscato and a pint of “Cheap Sunglasses” beer to wash everything down.
Erica our server brought our drinks out instantly , the beer was cold, and the wine was a generous pour. We mentioned to Erica that the last time we ordered the crab cakes they came out luke warm and she assured us she’d make sure they came out hot this time, and they did, perfect ! The food as always , was top notch, and Erica did a great job looking after us.
I have to give a special mention to server “Madison” who helped the bus boy clean the table we wanted, even though he wasn’t our server. He’s truly a top notch guy, and the Oyster House are very lucky to have him !
We have one more week left in the area before heading back to the snowy Canadian tundra, and for sure we’ll be back one last time before we go.

UPDATE – -Visited again on Jan 27th 2026 at 12:45pm. We sat at table # 15, and our server was “Jennifer”.

Since i was so impressed with the pecan encrusted white fish last time, both of us ordered it again with sides of red beans and rice, fries, slaw and grits. We had the Moscato wine and blond Ale to wash it all down. The beer was nice and cold, and the they gave a generous pour with the wine. Absolutely everything we had was amazing ! Our server Jennifer was cheerful, eager to please, and our food came out a lot quicker than it did last week when we visited. After today’s visit, i upgraded my rating from 4 stars, to five stars. We’re in the area until March 1st when we head back to Canada, and we’ll definitely be visiting again.

Visiting from Ontario Canada – Jan 20th 2026 1pm – Our server was “Madison” at table # 42.

We had calamari & 2 crab cakes as appetizers, both were decent, but the crab cakes could have been hotter. Our mains were the pecan encrusted white fish & the seafood salad. The white fish was extraordinary, probably the best fish i’ve ever eaten. The seafood salad was really good too, but they ran out of eggs so no hard boiled egg was included in the salad.
Our server was very pleasant without being over-bearing. Don’t come here if you’re in a hurry as the food was pretty slow to come out, and it wasn’t even that busy.
Overall a positive experience, and we plan on returning.

Appetizer for $36 was kinda overpriced in my head. That was a market price for crab claw. Oysters had a lot of blue cheese, too much flavor. Couldn’t feel the oysters by itself. The rest is good. I’m personally not the fan of panko everywhere. I prefer clean fish and seafood. But overall is ok.

A local person suggested this restaurant to me. He went on about this place, so I had to check it out. I already had high expectations by the time I arrived. The parking lot was filled with cars. That indicated that others concurred with the local I encountered. In the elevator, other residents enthusiastically recommended trying everything on the menu. I’m not sure if Sonia rolled out the red carpet for me because I mentioned writing a review (my waitress), but she’s amazing. She showed me how to make cocktail sauce. I’ll forever make it at my house. If this is your first time trying this restaurant I recommended ordering the fisherman’s Pride. A little bit of everything. Overall this was a great experience.

Great Grub. Went with a group. Great service. Split a bunch of appetizers…Gator bites (least fishy Gator I have ever had, was very good), crab claws, mud bug tails…all were good. Very fresh salad bar. Had the fire grilled oysters for my entree. They were amazing. Haven’t been here in a while…but will most definitely ho back next time we are down this way.

We had an amazing experience at Oyster House Restaurant today…we were there celebrating the life of my father-in-law who had just passed. The server, Brandon D, was simply outstanding…meals for 20 people attending were served on time, with courtesy and compassion! The food was delicious and we were so blessed to be together in such an inviting place…we will be back!

Cool spot. They have a large playground at ground level and the restaurant upstairs. There is an elevator as well as stairs.
The hush puppies were amazing! They have a very small selection of things that are not seafood but my husband enjoyed his shrimp and we both liked the red beans and rice.

Wow, what an excellent meal. From the fiery oysters to the blackened shrimp tacos, we loved everything, and it tasted fantastic. The service was great and very friendly, even though they were jampacked with customers everyone tried to give the best service they could. And the restaurant had a great filled to it make you feel at home and welcome. I would recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be going back again.
