From the minute I walked in here and saw their charming interior space I sensed that this was going to be the best diner in the Chicagoland area. When I saw the fresh creative menu I knew the food was going to be fantastic and when I tasted the food (which came quickly) my instincts were confirmed! This place is GREAT. Add the sweet friendly service and this place rules!! I’m still here eating but can’t wait to come back!

Overall, the food was okay, but the pancakes were inedible. I ordered the banana pancakes. The bananas were in large chunks and there weren’t many of them. That’s tolerable, but what made them impossible to eat was the overwhelming amount of baking soda. All I could taste was the soda, not the pancakes or the bananas.

Had brunch at the Original Greenbay Cafe in Winnetka a few Sundays back. It is a no nonsense old school diner with a relaxed welcoming vibe. I went with the Mediterranean Omelette. The eggs were spot on and loaded with fresh veggies full of flavor. The home fries were excellent, crisp on the outside and soft inside. The coffee was hot, strong, and kept coming. Service was top notch, fast, friendly, and on point without trying too hard. The place has a lived in charm with plenty of little things to catch your eye while you wait. A solid spot for a real meal without the fluff.

Lovely little place to come and enjoy breakfast. The artichoke omelette was really something. Good coffee. We didn’t like the swedish pancakes much because the fruit was very acidic. We will come back though, I’m curious about the rest of the menu items. They offer great service!

This is a small locally owned breakfast and lunch place just on Greenbay that you would drive right by. Love this place for meeting buddies for Sunday morning breakfast. Neighborhood, family friendly, place for awesome French toast and eggs

Absolutely the best pancakes that I have tasted in a very long time.
If you are like me, and steer away from pancakes because they just don’t taste as good as your great-grandmother’s, you have to eat a stack at this cafe.

The first bite literally took me to my grandmother’s table. I could not be happier with my breakfast today.

The service is consistent, the atmosphere is cozy, and…. well you know what I think about the food.

5/5 all around.

Lovely little place. Good food and service. It is small, though. We were lucky to get a table at 11:30 on a Monday.

We came here for breakfast, we ordered a tuna sandwich, 2 orders of pancakes, & a skillet. The food was good, would highly recommended their tuna and pancakes. What really disappointed me though was the service and the atmosphere. The service was mediocre at best. As a server, I understand being busy and not being able to give each table the best service but the restaurant is incredibly small and there was no reason why we couldn’t be offered more coffee, water in the beginning or boxes to go. Speaking about the place, it’s a hit or miss but for us it was a miss. It’s very overstimulated and you feel on top of each other. Just get take out or something.
